I have to laugh a little at myself when I think of all the money I've dumped on organizational products... Organization and keeping my surroundings clean and clutter free have always been a struggle. I was born into a family with the same problem, and from a young age I was never really forced into keeping things picked up. My parents tried, but there's only so much time in the day...

Anyways, this book reminded me of how simple it really is. I think like most people, we turn these things into "A Big Deal" when really it's a decision and plan. This book will give you the plan, but you have to make the decision.

Besides the organizational and cleaning systems described in here, there are also a lot of really cool tips and tricks that will help A TON. The "Secrets Of The Organized Families" was really cool, and brings up some aspects I've never seen in other books.

This book is a winner, through and through.If you're anything like me, and you want to get your surroundings (and your mind) organized, and get your life under control- I highly recommend this.

One other thing I'd like to add is, the author doesn't bore you with useless psychology or her opinions, she just gives it to straight and doesn't waste your time which is something I really value, as there are only so many hours in the day.

Being OCD, I consider myself the queen of organization, so I read quite a few of these books. Most I find too full of useless text which actually makes me not want to even get started. I like the way this book is organized by issues in addition to the separate areas of the home; getting children organized and creating chore charts takes you directly to the issue and resolution.

I was dismayed at the lack of detail in the chapter "The 12 Month Home Organizing Plan." I expected to find the details for organizing each room, but it turned out to be just a schedule. After reading the entire book, that was OK because all the details I was looking for are throughout the book... just don't stop at that one chapter!

The author asked for feedback since this is her 1st book. My suggestion would be to add sample chore charts and checklists - this would definitely get the reader to take action. Good job on your first book!

This is a very well written book. What I like about it is "Get Organized" allows me to have a course of action to finally declutter my world. Wow, I'm a very messy guy and to tell you the truth I was overwhelmed because I feel I have more stuff than my place allows. It's either get organized or throw it all out. This book will give you lots of new organization tips you may not have considered before.
