5.0 out of 5 stars amore!
This record shreds. Buy it. Oh, yeah I love watching that load, Danzig getting laid out. Thier new record is going to be even better than this one. I love listening to people as Amazon reviewers repping about where they hail from. Screw that, I'm from Philly, and as far as I am concerned Danny is a stand up guy. Each record they have put out is better than the last. blah!

1.0 out of 5 stars What a joke
Please, hit Danzig and we can prove we are hardcore. That singer is fat, slow and what looked to be stupid. First, their music is terrible. There is no hardcore in Arizona. What is Arizona anyway? A big desert with cactus? Let me guess while in Arizona you can bang your head against a cactus and that makes you hardcore? Just because these guys played with Soulfly means...

4.0 out of 5 stars I hate flunkies that write rreviews, September 29, 2004
This review is from: Organizing Our Neighborhood (Audio CD)
Would just like to say that I wish all the Danzig fans that are bummed out that their model got knocked out would stop writing bad reviews of music that they probably have never even listened to. Frustratedwhatever's review should not stop anyone from checking out this CD. There are some great tracks on it, actually the whole thing is pretty damn good. Danny didn't knock Danzig out for publicity, he did it because Danzig pushed him. Nothing more. Check out their website. True story there. Check this one out. It is a good buy. Great music.. AZ style..

Cheers..

Just because these guys played with Soulfly means nothing. Soulfly is and was the death of Sepultura one of the greatest bands ever. Now Max would prefer to sing about God, the Bible and whatever nonsense his spiritual guide leads to. Do not compare this music with Madball or Biohazard. Only in their wildest dreams could they touch those bands. As for the lead singer of this band, Danny, how did it feel hitting a man that is almost old enough to get senior citizen rates? You are worhtless. Danzig is a legend. He made it possible for punks like you to make money playing hardcore music. I agree Danzig pushed him but Danny had no business or right to walk up to Danzig while he was signing autographs, which Danny probably knows nothing about, and disrespect him in front of his fans. It's called having respect and where I am from that is what hardcore music is about. As for you and your band, good luck, because the true hardcore fans that grew up with Danzig's bands will not buy your albums which by the way are really jumping up the chart here on Amazon believe it is the 320,000 best seller. Whooo that is impressive almost as impressive as watching your fat jiggle as you hit a legend. You are a punk.

2.0 out of 5 stars below average, July 27, 2004
This review is from: Organizing Our Neighborhood (Audio CD)
A friend of mine let me borrow this CD after constantly praising it as the best album he heard in a while. I gave it about 6 spins before deciding that it was pretty much the same generic stuff many other bands make (except they all do it much better). If your a long time fan or something you'll probably find something to like, but if otherwise you should definitely pass.

On a side note, whats with this band trying to become famous after punching Glenn Danzig? I guess you gotta do whatever you can to get your name out there when your albums are weak.

I am from Oakland CA is that hardcore enough for you Mr. Long Island. North Side Kings flat out tear it up!!!! If you like hardcore then you will love this.

Easy there Mr Long Island, I have been to Long Island, and it is the damn suburbs, so easy with your dramatizations. A suburban boy like you wouldn't last 5 minutes in South Phoenix, that I can assure you, Mr Suburbs.

My other review of this album caused a couple of people to correct me. Even though in my review I clearly stated that I agree Danzig shouldn't have pushed Danny, the point was, Danny shouldn't have confronted Glenn while he was signing autographs. I don't have a problem with the fact that he defended himself. You must not have read my review. If Danny had waited until Glenn was done, walked outside and then Glenn pushed him then so be it he should hit him but he didn't do that and by not doing that he didn't show respect and that is what hardcore music is about. The other reviewer said I had never been to Arizona. You are right, I live in Long Island, New York. Where bands like Vision of Disorder, Biohazard and Madball started out at. Those guys wouldn't have done what Danny done. It happens to bands all the time, you get over it. I could not imagine Tim Williams of VOD confronting Agnostic Front because of being treated unfair. As for the guy who told me to shut my mouth that headline is for you. In your wildest, wettest dreams you couldn't shut my mouth and neither could your man Danny. Back to the first reviewer, Glenn is not an idol to me or a role model. I prefer Minor Threat and Ian Mckaye or Henry Rollins. I have always said that Glenn had way to much attitude but this time he was in the right. I have been in the hardcore scene since 1982 when I seen the Cro-Mags. I'm not trying to come off as preachy but someone needs to tell you younger fans of the new hardcore that the key word has and always has been, respect. By the way, I still think this album is terrible. I like some new hardcore bands, Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die and Hatebreed but this is not a step forward in hardcore. These guys remind me of the band I was in when I was 17. To both of you, grow up. I'm not a flunkie, I hold a Master's degree in Psychology and have my own practice. I do these reviews for fun. Read some of my other ones and see how everything I review gets people mad. To me these reviews are like a study for me. As for Arizona being hardcore, that reminds me of the movie about the white boy from Iowa that thought he was a thug. You come to Long Island and you will see hardcore. There is nothing but concrete here. The only place you can walk on some grass or sand is at the bottom of the East River. Listen guys, if it is hardcore and you are a hardcore fan then you know deep down inside if this band is hardcore so stop reviewing my reviews.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore the way it should be..., July 16, 2004
This review is from: Organizing Our Neighborhood (Audio CD)
This is the third album from Arizona's own hardcore outfit, NORTH SIDE KINGS. They recently made the news because of an altercation with Glenn Danzig. You can read the details of the incident on their web site but the synopsis of the story consists of Glenn's narcissism and how he conveniently forgot to mention there were other bands playing after his set at a show in Arizona. Danny Marianino (singer of NORTH SIDE KINGS) approached Glenn and inquired about his refusal to mention the other bands on the bill and an altercation ensued resulting in Glenn Danzig receiving a healthy right cross across the face (insert laugh track here). Like their music, the NORTH SIDE KINGS do not back down from anything or anyone and it is arrestingly paraded in their abrasive, jaw-dropping style of hardcore music. If you could mesh together the essentials of MADBALL'S stuttering, rhythmic bounce and twist those together with BIOHAZARDS severe baselines, you will have an idea of what the NORTH SIDE KINGS do with their music. Scatter a tinge of the looseness instituted by old school punk over this sharp and infinitely volatile chemical of hardcore and you might just be even closer to envisioning their bludgeoning chutzpah. Tracks like "Thanks for the Memories" cut the silence between the breaks like a cleaver does to a chuck of meat. "My Reflection" is another song off the album that will inspire anyone to get up and fight for what they believe in, no matter what the consequences may be. Both lyrically and musically, the NORTH SIDE KINGS have honed in on what makes hardcore the perfect soundtrack for all of us who have felt like the underdog at one time or another. Respect these guys and buy their record. If you don't, you can ask Glenn Dazing what will happen.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Hunter., March 25, 2005

Hey! Did you know one of the guys that was supposed to testify against Robert Blake ended up in the mental ward? Yah. Seems he was receiving messages from space aliens or something.

World's just full of phony nuts. huh?

What has that got to do with anything? Well, whatever. I'm just a skinny pale Italian from South Jersey.

And it's Good Friday! I think I'll go play with some NAILS. Or something.

I hear these guys are influenced by SUICIDAL Tendencies. I should be into them. But I'm not. Not at all.

You know. For the KIDS.
