A classic book on the American Presidency,
By Future Watch Writer (Washington, D.C. Area) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Organizing the Presidency (Paperback)
This a classic book on American government. It is really strange that nobody has reviewed it on Amazon since it came out in 2002. As Harry Truman once observed government in America is more than simply giving orders. A good President must work with Congress. He or she must also make sure that Presidential orders are in fact carried out correctly by giant government agencies.
For more on the subject of government management check out my Listmania List on my profile, Public Service and Government Management. This book should be read in conjuction with Hess's new book on Presidential transition in America What Do We Do Now?: A Workbook for the President-elect |
