Directions
3 Easy Steps: Step 1: Place contents into plenty of boiling water (approx 67 fl oz for every 8.8 oz of Orgran pasta). Salt may be added to the water. Step 2: Stir gently and continue to boil for 8-10 minutes or until preferred consistency. Step 3: Strain and rinse under warm running water.

I am always looking for healthy versions of regular food, and given how hard it is to find pure buckwheat products, I was very happy to find this product here on Amazon.com. It has basically the same texture as regular store - bought pasta and tastes great. I hope that soon more varieties of the pasta will be made available. Until then, I will stick with this. I highly recommend to anyone looking for healthier versions of the regular stuff.

Most soba has a large proportion of wheat flour in it. Not this product, it's 80% buckwheat flour and 10% rice flour.
To readers not familiar with buckwheat, let me just say that you're not likely to put tomato-based sauce on this.Don't think of it as an across-the-board replacement for semolina style pasta. It has a unique flavor which, to me at least,is not compatible with
toppings for semolina pasta. You'll come up with ideas for toppings for this.
The price and the delivery were good.

Whether you eat gluten-free or just like variety in what you eat this buckwheat only pasta is outstanding. It just needs a lot more cooking than stated on the package.

I love this pasta and so does my family. It's the best gluten-free pasta I have found. I love the nutty taste and the firmer texture--one has to be careful not to overcook it though. I make regular pasta and pasta salad with this and it always comes out great. The fiber and protein contents per serving aren't bad, and because it's not wheat, there's no bloated feeling after eating it. The only drawback is that it contains rice flour, which makes it higher in carbohydrates and increases the calories per serving. Eden sells pure buckwheat soba noodles, but the expense for that is out of my price range. The Organ noodles are less expensive and taste great.

Theses noodles are a staple in my household. I love that buckwheat is part of this gluten free noodle. Buckwheat contains 86 mg of magnesium which is lacking in our diet today. Imagine, a good tasting noodle that helps lower cholesterol, is an antioxidant, keeps platelets from clotting, and MAY help control blood sugar. The alternative doctor I work for eats buckwheat almost daily. Okay, so he's Russian, but hey, he practices what he preaches. The bonus is that it taste wonderful. I have a case on auto ship so as not to run out.
