Best in Collection,

This review is from: Orient Men's CFD0C001B Professional Diver Black Automatic Watch (Watch)
I love diver watches. I don't dive deeper than 8 feet at any time and then its usually without a watch on but I love diver watches. I just go for the substantial feel and look of a well made one. I like other types of watches, too, but divers are my number one choices to wear about 6 out of every 7 days. This saturation diver from Orient is the best one I own or have ever owned. I have had several in the $500-1000 range including Helson, Ocean7, Debaufre, Dievas, and Deep Blue. All of these are great diver watches but this one from Orient blows them all out of the water and it isn't even close.
Here's why this Orient (mine is the black dial, CFD0C001B) is best: 1. It is the best feeling one on the wrist. The solid feel and weight of this Orient and the high position on the wrist with the high quality bracelet sets it apart from the others. 2. The lume on the Orient is best. Several of them (mostly Ocean7 and Deep Blue) have magnificent lume as well but the Orient's lasted longer in my tests. 3. The bracelet with the ratching sizing element is simply very substantial and very cool. All the others also have beefy bracelets but not as well constructed or as smart as the bracelet on the Orient. 4. The Orient is dead on accurate. Dead on! 5. The power reserve feature works really well on this one. This is not my only Orient so I am aware of this feature possibly a little more than other reviewers. It takes about 4 hours of wrist time on my other Orients to come close to being fully charged at 40 hours power reserve. It only takes about 30 minutes for this diver. 6. It is a very cool and unique looking piece while maintaining its simplicity of style. I wear it more than any other watch of around 75 in my collection. That should tell you something. Get it!

A truly superlative timepiece,

The Orient Diver 300m is a truly superlative automatic watch. This is Orient's top of the line watch and everything about it shows how much better it is compared to the other Orients.
Key points of distinction are: 1) A very finely adjusted movement. Mine is accurate to well within 1-2 seconds a day, which is amazing to say the least. COSC (Officially Certified Swiss Chronometer) standards call for -4 to +6 seconds/day and very few Swiss watches are actually officially certified to meet that standard. 2) A monster of a case. The case is big, heavy and will no doubt provide the protection that the movement requires under extreme depth, rated to 300 meters (990 feet). 3) A high-quality steel bracelet. This bracelet has unique pins for sizing; don't try it yourself unless you're an exert. The watch also comes with a rubber strap for diving purists. 4) Power reserve indicator. This is a high-end feature and is quite rare even among high-priced Swiss watches. Compared to a Rolex Submariner, the Orient 300m is more substantial, more accurate and more distinctive in appearance. On top of all that, this is a true manufacture calibre with all parts, including movement produced in-house. Finally Orient Watch USA provides excellent support for their products from Los Angeles.

A Show Stopper,

This is the most affordable "true" diver I have ever seen/worn. I love wearing it with a t-shirt just to go out, because it's very noticeable yet still very refined, since it's by ORIENT.
I have the orange dial, and I just love it. It looks and feels better than my Rolex diver ... and I get way more compliments on it as well. p.s. It's also 1/4th the price of my Rolex, and all in all, probably a better watch.

Awesome watch.,
This review is from: Orient Men's CFD0C001B Professional Diver Black Automatic Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch directly from Orient Watch US from their online site during 9/2011. Orient was out of stock of the orange and black face versions for several months. They`re out of them again as of 9/25/11. I used the promo code, got it for 50% off, and it ended up costing me only about 1K. I really love this watch. It weighs 2 to 2 1/2 ounces. It has an awesome lume you dont find on entry level Orients like the Orient Mako. The rachet sound when you spin the bezel is crisp and precise (not cheap sounding). I also like the 40 hour power reserve meter and the bracelet expansion feature that allows quick sizing in seconds to bigger or smaller wrists. I now only allow myself to purchase dive watches from the big Japanese 3 (Seiko, Orient, and Citizen). I have the black version and I will only wear it a couple times a year like at weddings or co-worker retirement parties. This is the best 300 meter automatic dive watch you can get for the money. I hope the Pro Saturation Orient goes out of production and becomes very collectable and highly sought after.
