Product Description

The Rock-It portable vibration speaker system takes music from your device and generates it into vibration sequences. It sends those vibrations through the Rock-It "pod" which you can stick to any object. Simply press play on your device (iPods, MP3 players, mobile phones, laptops, etc.) and Rock-It will turn the object into a speaker.

I'll probably toss it in the garbage and look for something else.

I like the sound it produces and it's neat that you can use it anywhere but it will not stick on the surfaces it is suppose to for very long it fellas off constantly regardless of following the instructions. I called the manufacturer company and heard nothing back, my son -in -law has the one with a suction cup and has the same problem. I have finally found my own solution which is a "as seen on TV" sticky tape it works much better than the tape that comes with the product. Other than not hearing back from the manufacture after 2 weeks and having to find my own solution it's a fun gadget too bad they can't work out their own bugs!

This is a GREAT way to listen to your mp3 players. My ears become irratated when I use earbuds too long and this device allows one to enjoy the music without the earbuds.
EVERY surface produces a different sound. A glass window sounds pretty good. An empty plastic cocoa container sounds good. The plastic tubes from a DVD stack produce a "tinny" sound. The top of my Fan tower sounds Great. I am currently using it on my little desk top coffee warmer.(when cold) The coffee warmer has a very good overall sound. The large bathroom mirror produces too much bass.
All in All a device that works well and is fun to use.

It not only is neat but it works too. Try it out on different surfaces. I found that something made with wood works great. Cabinet doors are great. If you use something too hollow the sound vibrates too much and sounds small with no depth. Use something solid and not enough sound. Wood seems just right for me ")
Got it for my husband on Fathers Day though I use it alot with my Ipod.
The down side is that the "sticky pads" can wear out after some use. You can wash them with water and they do provide you with a few extras in the box.
I think its a great idea and makes an awesome gift for young and old alike.

After I got this, I was originally a bit skeptical about where it'd be useful...until my wife wanted to put music on for our newborn when she's sleeping. That's when I hit upon the idea to affix the speaker to the actual crib! Now it works wonders and we put the music on every night for our daughter to listen to as she sleeps (with the volume down low, of course - make sure you've got the "Maximum Volume" set, just in case!).

The sound quality isn't amazing but, for our purposes, I'm not looking for a high dynamic range or intense base. The music is meant to provide noise as the baby sleeps and not get the baby rockin'.

My one complaint is the sticker patches used to affix the speaker to an object. While there are a few replacements included, the stickiness can wear off and I can see a time when I'll need more replacement patches. As long as the speaker is attached to the crib, it's fine but I'm not removing and re-attaching the speaker often. That may change in the future and I'll need to see how well they actually last.

I use my Rock It with my cellphone and it sounds great. I've put it on a variety of hollow objects and I have to say its a must have for people who like hi tech gadgets.
