Great Fun,

The best thing about this calendar is that it gives you something new and interesting to fold five days a week (the weekends are on one page). The author does a great job of choosing models that are surprising and fun without being too complex.
(And if you like this calendar, check out the book, THE JOY OF ORIGAMI by Margaret Van Sicklen. It's the best origami book I've seen in ages--the paper alone is worth the price!)

I saw this calendar at a chain bookstore, but they stopped printing after 2005. So, I turned to trusty Amazon.com The calendar has a different piece of origami every day and the printing on the back matches the design - spots for turtles, faux wood grain for boxes, etc. Now, the only bad thing is that I have lots of designs on my desk at work and it may lead people to think you're not constructive! Designs take maybe 3-5 minutes to fold. A high recommendation.

I'm driving my co-workers crazy with new origami "gifts" every day! How can you beat that!?!

In the last 3 years, I've seeing this calendar, but for 2006, is the first time that I've bought. It contains a booklet with the instructions about what it means each narrow, each line, if you should cut, paste, etc. The booklet is complet and clear.
Every page has in the front the instructions to do one daily Origami figure, and in the back, a colorful side. This colorful side will be transformed in the figure showed in the next day so if you want (for example) a green bird, or a blue frog, keep the paper until the instructions for them appear. I suggest before use the colorful paper, practice in a normal paper (I'm recycling the sheets from my office). |
