There are 50 sheets each of 10 different primary colors for a total of 500 sheets! The colors are solid; each sheet is the same color on the front and back. I've been an origami enthusiast for many years and have paid varying amounts of money for origami paper. This is one of the best deals I have found anywhere for origami paper.

Things you should know about this product:

- It is NOT high-quality origami paper. Know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. It is slightly pulpy and can get worn down in areas where many folds intersect.

- This paper is indispensable for practice and learning how to fold new models. Come on, would you really want to waste a sheet of expensive washi paper trying to fold something you've never attempted before?

- It is colored on both sides.

- You really get the most bang for your buck with this product. 500 sheets at a time also makes it suitable for modular origami, which requires many sheets of paper of the same size.

- The color selection is acceptable. You get a total of ten different colors: brown, dark green, light green, blue, light blue, lavender, red, fuschia, orange, and yellow. (I would have preferred if they had some more delicate pastel colors in there, but oh well. Unfortunately, their neon-like fuschia color is the closest you can get to pink.)

- Its fold memory is SLIGHTLY less than normal origami paper. ("Normal" meaning the typical one side colored, one side white stuff.) This means that if you fold it, it has more of a tendency to spring back to its original flat form. To give you a general idea: on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being cardboard and 10 being aluminum foil, I would rate "normal" origami paper to be about a 6 and this product to be about a 5.

- It does not have any curling problems like regular one-sided origami paper has. If you place it flat on a table, its ends will not roll up or curl. (I always found this to be really annoying...) I imagine it has to do with the fact that the fibers used in this paper are a little bit thicker and rougher than what is used in other origami papers.

Although it is not the highest quality origami paper, I rate it 5 out of 5 because of its price and the sheer number of sheets you get.

I am currently on my third package of folio origami paper. I felt compelled to review this after reading the other mostly negative review.

Look, it's not 2 color per sheet uber thin and crisp rice-pressed origami paper, but for a hobbyist, it is fine. It's easy to work with and I haven't had any issues with excessive ripping/tearing. Yes I've used better paper, but NEVER at this price. If you're practicing, working with children, or producing monocolor designs, this stuff is fine. If you gotta have 2 color foil, well, look elsewhere, but you'll be getting 50 sheets for the price of 500 of these.

By the way, this paper, because it is slightly weightier, is actually far superior from most origami paper for folded aircraft.

These aren't origami sheets to wow your friends and relatives with, and they don't need to be.

These are origami workhorses - the inexpensive, colorful, medium weight sheets that you can use day after day to hone your craft and try out new designs. This pack is perfect for an origami fan who wants to stay in practice, or for a child who might waste as many as they use, trying to figure out the designs.

The size seems to be about right for most designs; the sheets are a little large for simple designs, but perfect for cranes, dragons, tigers, and more.

I do wish there had been slightly more variety in color; they provide two greens and two blues, but no black. All the colors have a sort of "crayon box" look - bright, easily identifiable, and high color saturation.
