This review is from: Origens (Pelo Telefone) (Audio CD)
This 1973 masterpiece is Da Vila's tribute to the founders of samba cancao, including artists such as the legendary Donga, whose "Pelo Telephone" was the first samba ever recorded (back in 1916). Da Vila's version is appropriately great, as well his new originals and a medley of songs written by Monsuelto which kicks off the album. Recommended.
