4.0 out of 5 stars Factual, a very good read, March 9, 2006

I find all of Churchward's writings to be based on actual facts and for anyone who really wants to know the truth about the origin of religion--this is a good book to read although it is not for the beginner.

2.0 out of 5 stars Useful book but not up-to-date, March 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Honestly I am rather disappointed with this book. Though the title sounds great, "The Origin and Evolution of Religion", the treatment of the subject matter is limited and has not taken into consideration many of the new developments in the field. This is perhaps the biggest drawback of the book. Nevertheless it is a useful book to trace the origin of religion. I would give the book two stars out of five, if I am permitted to rate it.
I could not trace the year of publication of the book. This has created problem in assessing how old it is.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, April 13, 2006
By
Fact Finder (Cradle of Man, South Africa) - See all my reviews
Not recommended for those expecting a scientific approach. The absence of any description of the author's academic background explains it all.
