I used this on a threadless adapter on an old 70's steel frame. I wanted to keep the overall vintage feel as the paint was still in good shape, and the polished finish works great for that. Infinitely better than the old quill stem that was rusted in place. I went Origin8 for my bars and stem and all parts were nice quality and looked good.

Bought this stem to compliment my track bike. Bought a Soma track handlebar to match my chrome threadless fork. Easy to install, and it looks great on the bike even though the polished silver is nowhere near the shininess of a Nitto chrome stem. If you prefer the clean lines of a threaded stem, this may not be the stem for you. For my needs, this stem is a huge improvement over the black stock stem that came with my bike when I first bought it.
