Dolly Parton was last signed to a huge record label in 1987 when she joined Columbia after spending nearly twenty years with RCA. While at Columbia Dolly enjoyed major record sale success becoming the last of the old-time Nashville performers to enjoy having Top 10 albums. In this superb collection the buyer is getting three of the highest-selling albums that Dolly had while at Columbia.

First up is "White Limozeen". Released in the spring of 1989 the album returned Dolly to the top after the failure of her pop record "Rainbow". Produced by Ricky Scaggs the record went to #3 on the Country Billboard Charts and had two songs go to #1; "Why'd You Come In Here Lookin' Like That" and "Yellow Roses". The CD is also known for Dolly's stirring rendition of the gospel song "He's Alive". "White Limozeen" went Gold and is Dolly's longest-standing Billboard Chart record having been on the charts for over 100 weeks.

"Eagle When She Flies" came out in 1991 and went all the way to #1 becoming Dolly's last record to do so. It features the #1 duet with Ricky Van Shelton, "Rockin' Years" (a song Dolly originally recorded with George Jones, but at the last minute Columbia wanted a newer, younger act to sing with Dolly on the single) and the beautiful title track that Dolly originally penned for the movie "Steel Magnolias". The album sold a million copies.

Lastly, Dolly's last successful chart record is 1993's "Slow Dancing With The Moon". Although it didn't produce any hit songs it is known for the single "Romeo", a song Dolly wrote for Billy Ray Cyrus. The album also features some of Nashville's biggest early nineties singers doing background vocals and duets with Dolly including Pam Tillis, Collin Raye, and Billy Dean. The album went platinum and went to #4 on the Country Charts.

A great collection of Dolly records, all by the way are out-of-print individually, so it's nice to have them even if they are housed together for buying.

Now this was a surprise, loved all 3 albums in this package, they need to do more like this. Don't remember any of these but this is absolutely worth buying.
