Does not really do the thing I bought it to do!,

The primary reason I wanted a USB cable was to charge my phone while it was plugged in to the PC. Oh, if I can sync my calendar and music, that's a nice benefit, but what I really need is a charged phone. So the cable comes, I plug it in and guess what, no charge blink. I think, well maybe it just doesn't blink using this cable (ignorance is bliss). Anyway, the cable has some kind of a charging port that has nothing to do with my phone, and does NOT charge the phone while plugged into the computer. Does NOT charge it, does NOT charge it. Very upset with that. The syncing went fine with BitPim and the LG driver installed. What's the use if the battery is dead? If anyone knows of a USB cable that does charge the VX8350 while plugged into the PC, please let me know.
