This is a good tin whistle. It does NOT have an annoying overlap of metal at the back as some whistles do. It is smooth.

While I don't have any experience with other similar whistles to measure this one against, I can offer a few thoughts about the Feadog Original Irish Whistle I purchased recently. Construction is sturdy, and has a nice brushed brass finish which makes it look somewhat like you would expect a professional instrument to look. Though the mouthpiece is made from molded green plastic, it appears to be quite strong and damage-resistant. The whistle is not as easy to learn as I was originally led to believe, but after figuring out that breath-control was the key I have been able to play a reasonable tune. For just $12 or so, it is well worth my investment and has already brought me that much enjoyment, and I've only had it a week! I would cheerfully recommend to friends who have the time to learn to play it.

wearing off where the fingers cover the holes.
