And I turned off the TV.,
This review is from: Original Gold (Audio CD)
I had remembered Matt Monro from some years back My daughter and I shared "Walk Away" for many hours and found tears in the remembering. I purchased the CD for "Sunrise Sunset" to be played at my Granddaughters wedding and again Matt set off the emotions intended in the words. Yes I found joy in so many others, and recall how we compared Matt to Frank S. (finding M.M. as great if not a bit superior in feeling) I am so happy with these CDs as I said I turned off the TV and if you knew me that is a little miracle. Kathleen Sears

Softly As I Leave You...,
By A Customer
This review is from: Original Gold (Audio CD)
Matt Monro is truly one of the greatest singer of our time. His warm and romantic voice can move you in ways no other male vocalist can. When I first heard Andy Williams and Frank Sinatra sang some of my favorite songs, and instantly I felt connected with the singers. But when I heard Matt Monro sang, I was totally consumed by his beautiful voice. If you have a special interest in soft and romantic music, you won't be disappointed with Matt Monro. I completely endorse his CDs.

A Voice Of Gold,

Leslie j. Wilson-Akron,OH. I remember going through some of my mom's old 45's as a child, and one of the songs's that stayed in my memory was "Walk Away." Matt Monro had one of the most beautiful voices that I had ever heard. A pure singer with a voice made of gold. They don't make them like they used to! A definite must for any "true" music lover.

I first heard Matt Monro many years ago when I was much younger. On dates I would dance to his music, his voice is just like velvet and he can make an evening unforgetful. I would love to find some of his music, but don't know where.
