I've carried my "knobbie" around with me for 30 years. This little tool has been my lifesaver on those occasions where I had back pain but couldn't get to a therapist. I set my knobble down then lay on it - slowly and gently - and shift until I find the trigger point that is causing my pain. Then I slowly relax my weight into the wood to stop the pain and loosen the trigger point (being very careful not to hit the spine). As a personal manual massage tool, it's the best.

I was introduced to the Knobble about 13 years ago by my massage therapist to use on my trigger points. It's an excellent tool to use for knots in your body. I've used it for neck pain, back pain, hand tightness and butt pain. It's easily transportable. Compared to other massage tools it's a step-above because other self-use tools require you to apply pressure to the spot which causes more tightness/pain , where as with the knobble you can lie on it or sit in a high back chair and press into it with your body weight, but without pressure on your back/neck/hands. You could also have someone else use it on you as well, but if you have no one, no biggie.

I carry a knobble around with me every day...it is the only massage tool that I've ever tried (and I've tried most!) that allows me to apply significant pressure myself, on my own neck and lower back (when I can't find someone to give me a massage ;-) ). Simple, small, but very effective.

I own 3 already, one each for the bedroom, computer room and the car. I want to always have one handy. It's great for directed acupressure or for general massaging of tight muscles. I often use it by putting it under the spasm and leaning or lying on it. Though it's painful at first, you learn to appreciate it as the spasm relaxes. It's helpful when massaging others, it really saves stressing the hands while doing deep work. A relative who is a massage therapist originally told me about this indispensable tool.
This tool, in addition to the Body Buddy (for hard to reach spots) relieves a lot of tight, painful muscles. I couldn't do without it.

This is great for really working out little knots. It's great on your hands. I do a lot of bead work and small crocheting so my hands need a massage. This works great for that. My one complaint is it's easy to misplace. Good buy for the money.
