If you order this adapter from CCMACCESSORIES, you can get it for only $0.01, so you'll basically only pay for shipping. Even though it's made by Motorola, it works perfectly for any cell phone with the 2.5mm stereo audio jack (3 rings on the plug). If your cell phone doesn't have stereo audio, then you need to get one of the 2-ring adapters. Otherwise, this works great! I use it to plug a standard (3.5mm) pair of headphones into my LG Chocolate VX8550. When listening to MP3s, I get clear stereo audio with this adapter.

I wanted to share my experience with you so if you are considering this adapter you will not waste your money like I did. We have 2 new cell phones from Verizon. A LG ENV2 and a Motorola Adventure V750. I bought 2 of these adapters for my Motorola thinking that it said Motorola, would work fine. It didn't. However, it does work on the LG phone. I think this adapter works with the ORIGINAL RAZR and not the RAZR 2 or Adventure. The $12.99 adapter that Verizon sells works with both phones, so I guess I will live with that and my wife gets to listen to her music now!

Very nicely done adapter, unlike some cheap stuff I see often. Very flexible, connectors are small, tidy and gold plated. I wish cell phone manufacturers had a standard on the pinout. This one uses the following (starting from the tip):
unused(mike), right, left, ground.
My Nokia E71 requires the following:
left, right, mike, ground.
Hence, when I use it on my phone, only the right channel works. Hope this helps Nokia fans out there.
By the way, it's easy to check what pinout your phone requires if you have a working headset for this phone and a multimeter. Use multimeter in the mode you use to check for a broken circuit. Put your headset on, put you ground probe to the ground pin (allways the same), then put your positive probe to other pins, one by one, and listen. You will hear a click in your left ear when you put positive probe on the "left" pin, same for the "right" pin. If you don't hear anything, it's a "mike" pin.
