5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Early Season & Turkey Hunting
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Edgewater Boot for the last four deer/turkey seasons. The boot is comfortable, flexible, and has never leaked. I find that the boot keeps my feet comfortably warm down to 29 Deg. F or so. I wear a size 12US and the boot fits me to size. I am able to wear a medium weight thermal sock without feeling cramped. Ordered boot on Nov. 25th, we received a shoe. We returned the "shoe" and requested the "boot" which we had ordered. So far no boot, no refund, Jan. 5th, 2012.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great For Early Season & Turkey Hunting, January 9, 2010
This review is from: The Original MuckBoots Adult Edgewater Hi Boot (Apparel)
I have thoroughly enjoyed my Edgewater Boot for the last four deer/turkey seasons. The boot is comfortable, flexible, and has never leaked. I find that the boot keeps my feet comfortably warm down to 29 Deg. F or so. I wear a size 12US and the boot fits me to size. I am able to wear a medium weight thermal sock without feeling cramped. The boot is not so heavy as to make it uncomfortable when walking for long periods of time here in the ridge & valley terrain in Eastern Tennessee. For late season and times weather reaches the 20s I would suggest owning a pair of Wetlands (My choice) or a pair of the Woody series available. Keep in mind although the Woody series are VERY warm, they are Not (In my opinion) the boot for much extended walking.

5.0 out of 5 stars These Boots Are Made for...Mud, December 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I recieved these boots today in the middle of a severe winter storm, so, I slipped them on and ventured out to shovel the snow from the walks and to the wood shed for some firewood. They are very comfortable and warm. They appear to be well constructed and they look good. They're a great product.

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome, December 5, 2010

I'VE WORE THESE BOOTS EVERY DAY SINCE I BOUGHT THEM AND LOVE THEM. I'VE ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH COLD FEET AND THESE BOOTS WORKED GREAT FOR ME. I WORE THEM COON HUNTIN EVERY NIGHT THE ONLY PROBLEM THAT I NOTICED WAS THE TREAD WHEN YOU GO AROUND A HILL THEY DON'T GRIP THE BEST ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS SNOW COVERED. THE BRIARS TEAR THE NEOPRENE UP A LITTLE BUT THEY'RE STILL WATER PROOF CLEAR TO THE TOP.THE BEST THING IS THE NEOPRENE SEALS AROUND YOUR CALF AND TRAPS THE HEAT IN AND KEEPS THE BRIARS OUT. I WOULD GET THE OTHER TREAD PATTERN BUT IT JUST DOESN'T JUSTIFY THE COST.I ALSO LIKE THAT YOU CAN FOLD THE TOPS DOWN AND USE THEM TO SLIP ON TO GO GET THE MAIL OR RUN TO THE STORE. OVERALL I LIKE THEM ALOT

My son had given me a pair of these for Christmas last year and I loved them. Mine were the shorter ones but they are awesome!! My son and I decided to get his Dad a pair for Christmas and I found a great deal thanks to Amazon! Needless to say he loved them. He wears them everytime he goes out. We live on a small farm so they are great for going to the barn and they keep your feet warm. Shipping was fast also. Very pleased!

Perfect for tromping around the shallows and mudddy river banks in Alaska. Yes, your feet will sweat a little but what can you expect.

4.0 out of 5 stars 3 Season boot for NNY- great for women too- tho a bit slippery, May 6, 2011
I ordered these boots last year upon two glowing recommendations from my friends.

These boots are above all quite comfortable to wear for an extended amount of time. I work and live on a large dairy farm and I hunt quite a bit with my fiance all winter and spring. We do a lot of walking in and out of deep snows through some heavy woods and these boots never once hurt my feet. I also wore them to my other job at the US Postal Service.

These boots are very durable and the tighter stretchy top keeps water out of your boots and they keep your feet nice and toasty. Here in Northern NY these boots are a boot that can be worn for 3 seasons. They have good breathability so if you're wearing them on a mildly warm day in the spring your feet won't be too hot.

The sizing seems true to order and I still had enough foot room to wear thick cotton socks underneath a pair of LL Bean fleece boot socks inside them all winter.

The only thing that I DON'T like about these boots is that they are a bit slippery. When on the dairy, we have textured rubber barn liners which get wet very often. I find that these boots don't offer a whole lot of traction or slip control in that enviroment (even in nice weather), which creates a big chance of getting seriously hurt on a dairy. There's been times where I'm walking along doing my work and then all of a sudden...WHOOOOA..the boots will totally lose traction. Luckily, I've been able to steady myself before I got seriously injured. With YakTrek ice cleats added to these boots it solved my slipping problem.

Overall, these Muck boots are handy, long-lasting, durable and affordable boots. I'd buy them again for hunting though, I will probably buy another pair for working at the dairy this winter.
