5.0 out of 5 stars I am loving these boots!
I bought these boots for sloshing through the snow and rain in NYC. It always tends to pile up at the street corners and makes walking around in any non-waterproof shoes a real chore. I at first was looking at some other brands of rubber boots but they were all fairly uncomfortable and left your feet cold, if at least dry.

These MuckBoots on the other hand are...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great boots for men or women- tho a little slippery, May 14, 2011

This review is from: The Original MuckBoots Unisex Hoser Classic Hi-Cut Boot (Apparel)
I own a pair of these Hoser Muck Boots and a pair of the Edgewater Muck Boots. This review is for both Muck boots.

These boots are above all quite comfortable to wear for an extended amount of time. I work and live on a large dairy farm and I hunt quite a bit with my fiance all winter and spring. We do a lot of walking in and out of deep snows through some heavy woods and these boots never once hurt my feet. I also wore them to my other job at the US Postal Service.

These boots are very durable and the tighter stretchy top keeps water out of your boots and they keep your feet nice and toasty. Here in Northern NY these boots are a boot that can be worn for 3 seasons. They have good breathability so if you're wearing them on a mildly warm day in the spring your feet won't be too hot.

The sizing seems true to order and I still had enough foot room to wear thick cotton socks underneath a pair of LL Bean fleece boot socks inside them all winter.

The only thing that I DON'T like about these boots (both the Edgewater & this Hoser) is that they are a bit slippery. When on the dairy, we have textured rubber barn liners which get wet very often. I find that these boots don't offer a whole lot of traction or slip control in that enviroment (even in nice weather), which creates a big chance of getting seriously hurt on a dairy. There's been times where I'm walking along doing my work and then all of a sudden...WHOOOOA..the boots will totally lose traction. Luckily, I've been able to steady myself before I got seriously injured. With YakTrek ice cleats added to these boots it solved my slipping problem.

Overall, these Muck boots are handy, long-lasting, durable and affordable boots. I'd buy them again for hunting though, I will probably buy another pair for working at the dairy this winter.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am loving these boots!, April 7, 2010

I bought these boots for sloshing through the snow and rain in NYC. It always tends to pile up at the street corners and makes walking around in any non-waterproof shoes a real chore. I at first was looking at some other brands of rubber boots but they were all fairly uncomfortable and left your feet cold, if at least dry.

These MuckBoots on the other hand are actually pretty soft on the inside making them still feel like rubber boots but totally bearable for walking long distances. They also kept my feet warmer but cool enough as the weather has gotten better too. The stretchy neoprene sides make getting your pants legs tucked in very easy. The boots slip on and off without much tugging or fighting while staying on perfectly while walking.

I'd highly recommend this brand of boots to anyone.

I love these boots. This purchase was my fourth pair in six years. I live in a chilly rainforest in Alaska so I wear these boots about 320 days a year. My feet are warm and dry. And they are sooo comfy...they bend easily with you and there is no rough top rim to rub you...it clings gently to you.

I love to walk right into the water in rivers and beach to reach that rock or piece of driftwood I want.

My son loves these boots. They are 3 season boots in Wisconsin. Warm enough for winter, cool enough for fall and spring.

They are, according to him, comfortable and well made. They look good on him, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable, waterproof, fantastic, September 3, 2011

My wife and I were looking for some rubber boots for fishing and boating in both urban and rural Alaska. They must work.

We tried xtra tuff rubber boots and they work. However, the material used in these boots make for a very comfortable fit from top to bottom. The legging part of the boot easily flexes and conforms to various positions as the leg moves around. The foot part is also comfortable, something we can attest to after standing for several hours each day on rocks, sand and water.

The material used in the boot also works as an insulator. Great for cool water!

Much better than other rubber boots!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best garden boot ever, October 9, 2010
This review is from: The Original MuckBoots Unisex Hoser Classic Hi-Cut Boot (Apparel)
My ex-wife purchased these as a gift for me, so naturally I was suspicious. But these have been the greatest boots to wear for work in her yard and gardens. I do a lot of landscaping, and she thought these would be good to try. They are:

** lightweight,

** easy off and on,

** a breeze to clean up,

** offer good traction, and

** keep your feet totally dry.

I like the hi-cut and the flexible but snug top because it prevents debris from falling inside. They are great to wear when washing a car or power-washing decks, etc. Great in all seasons--I've worked in them in very cold winter and very hot summer. I've used them for two years, and they are still in great condition.

Keep in mind the boots do not have a steel toe--I did some trail cleanup on a park trail and should have known better; the boots didn't provide protection from heavy debris that landed on the top of my feet. But that is not a fault of the boot; it's not designed for that. If you want toe protection, buy their steel toe boot.

I highly recommend these boots and have since bought them for other family members. But not for my ex-wife of course. She has no use for them as long as I'm doing her landscaping. I guess I'll have to build her a deck so I can get her to buy me the steel toe boots.
