I ordered this for my mom who is recovering from surgery. When she had a surgery 10 years ago, my Game Boy was her favorite immobile pastime. My old one broke and I am so glad I was able to fine this one -- she loves it! It has kept her entertained while she can't move around.
The item arrived very quickly, in the exact condition described, working just right. Thanks!

The Game Boy is the roots of modern handheld gaming. Despite the fact that it didn't have color, what it did have was an amazing library of classics. From Super Mario Land and Tetris to the Game Boy Color titles, there's no doubt you wouldn't resist this.

Compared to the fancy-schmacy PSPs, GBA, and Nintendo DS handhelds today, this game is indeed a dinosaur, its monitor small in size compared to the size of the whole unit itself, the monitor being a weird green color and limited graphics, and needing four AA batteries at once.
Yet all of these fancy new handheld platforms would not have existed with this beauty. It was nice in its simplicity - games had to define themselves through gameplay rather than graphics. I still have my cherry-red Game Boy, though I haven't touched it in ages and it's in its case packed away in my chest. Ahh, memories... Sure, the new handhelds boast a lot more capability, but you can't go wrong with Classic Game Boy!
