Yes, you read that right... I have given these sponges away as gifts to friends, THAT is how much I really like this sponge.

Kitchen sponges have been a long time nemesis of mine. I absolutely HATE doing dishes, and it seems that no matter how I try to organize my kitchen the sponge always seems to end up UNDER all the dishes coated in slime and disgusting by the time I want to use it to wash dishes. Let's face it, within a couple weeks the typical kitchen sponge tends to REEK! I fell into the habit of buying sponges in the biggest package I could find and constantly throwing them out and replacing them.

Then one day, while looking for another big package of sponges on Amazon I came across this sponge and all it's great reviews, figuring I had nothing to lose I gave it a try with the understanding that most likely in a couple weeks it would also hit the trash, but at least I'd only be out a few bucks...

I used the sponge as usual, I really liked the feel of it and it did a decent job, and since it was hardier than other sponges I'd toss it on the top shelf whenever I did a load of dishes in the dishwasher... it was just a sponge, no big deal really.

Then something amazing happened... For one reason or another one day while I was on amazon I looked over my past orders and realized it had been and entire year since I had purchased my sponge!

Now, I'll be the first to admit that a sponge just isn't something I think about all too often unless it goes out of it's way to get my attention (such as through it's odor) but I was completely flabbergasted that I had owned this sponge for an entire year and it was still just like new! This is when I began purchasing them for friends.

I'm not sure it's the best idea to wait a year between replacing your sponges, but the fact that you CAN do this has me bragging about these puppies to my friends.

I say try em out, worst case scenario you're out a few bucks, best case you're permanently done dealing with stinky kitchen sponges!

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the raves other reviewers had posted as well as the pricey cost of this scrubber. I have been most pleasantly surprised that not only does it scrub my Calphalon cookware without even a hint of scratching but it also works wonders on my Ceran glassware cooktop as well as the glass "ripple" shower doors on my large walk in shower in the master bath! I've ordered both the square and round scrubber and am constantly finding uses for each shape. The square shaped one works really well for squared corner items since it gets into every nook and cranny while the round shape is super for among other things, the cooktop and rounded marble vanity bowls and tops as well as the tiles in each of our baths. They also work wonderfully on the Drinkwell Pet Fountain. Lots better than the worthless brushes that some reviewers have touted as being the best thing since canned beer and sliced bread to clean their Drinkwell fountains with. Our city water leaves high levels of "calk" on everything and these scrubbers really do the job of removing it without damaging the respective surface. Highly recommend either shape of these scrubbers. They sure work for me!

This sponge is amazing! It is extremely durable, has 2 surfaces--one soft and the other for scrubbing, and doesn't pick up smells like regular sponges. One side of the sponge, the soft side, works like the Eraser Magic sponges that are on the market now--it "magically" gets down into the pores and grooves of surfaces to clean marks that a regular sponge can't.

I love these jet scrubz and have been using them exclusively for years. They are sometimes hard to find retail and I was happy to find them here. They are WELL worth the money as they last forever, are strong but gentle, and easy to clean. Seriously the best.

It may sound crazy, but these sponges are really fantastic, both the rectangular and circular ones. They scrub and clean great, never seem to gather any odors, and they last forever. It seems silly to spend the time to write a review of a kitchen sponge, but in today's world of cheap, crappy products I think that an outstanding product should get the praise it deserves, and these Magic Jetz Scrubs are excellent.

I am so glad so many of you have found out about the Jetz Scrubber!!! I have been using them for years and years and actually lived with the guy who created them (I may have been the first person lucky enough to use them). He always gave them to me, but I can't keep calling him, it's been like 10 years. I always have to track him down and beg him to drop one off when I need another one (ONLY once every year or two because they last SOOO LONG). I simply cannot use any other scrubber - ever!

With any other sponge, I have to throw them out in a week. I can't STAND a smelly sponge (I have a strong sense of smell and it really grosses me out). These sponges are a miracle. They work fantastic, LAST FOREVER, do a great job and look like new for a year or more. I'd rather keep mine worn and ripped after 2+ years of use than use another sponge (that's how much I rely on these sponges).

Never thought I'd be passionate about a sponge, but I simply can not have any other sponge and I was delighted to find I can now stop bothering my friend for late night drop offs and can actually order online!

Worth every penny! I cannot understand why they are not in regular retail stores. If people knew about them and used them, they'd never buy anything else. It's as simple as that.

This lil guy has to be one of the best inventions!! Whoever thought of this was/is a genius!! In fact, I love it so much, I just bought the round one last night to see if I like the rectangular or the round one better.

I've been searching high and low for either a purple sponge or a black one to match my kitchen and have had no luck finding either. So when I found this, I was soooooo happy.

What's so funny is I only bought it for the color initially. I didn't even bother reading the reviews on it or anything, because let's face it, it's just a sponge, I mean what do I really need to know?

When I started using it, I was so surprised how well it worked. It is amazing!! I know that sounds strange to say about a sponge, but it really is compared to what we are all used to as far as sponges go. It wipes up the tiniest little poppy seed or sesame seed or crumb off of the countertop where sponges I've used in the past would hide a seed or a crumb deep in one of the holes of it, to only reappear someplace else when I'd be using it. Very annoying!!! This has no holes, so all you do is wipe and rinse it off or empty the crumbs in the garbage. So far it doesn't seem to have that nasty smell that sponges seem to get once they get old. The only possibly negative thing I could say about it is it doesn't have a really strong coarse side to it to scrub pans with or anything, but I have never used a sponge for that. I always use a brillo pad or something more heavy duty like a dobie pad for that, so to me, that's not really a big deal, but for others it could be I dunno.

I really am glad I bought this solely for the color of it, because now since I had no real expectations for it other than the color, having it work the way it does is just an added bonus ;)

This sponge is the greatest sponge I've ever purchased. I've had it for a long time and it looks like new. By now I would have had purchased several sponges. It does not collect an odor like other sponges. I microwave it for 1 minute weekly and it still looks great. It works wonderfully too. Worth the price.

I waited to review this, because I have had similar products in the past that did not hold up. This two-sided scrubber is wonderful. I use it as my dish washing sponge and have been using it now for about 6 weeks. It is still in great condition with lots of life left. I highly recommend it.

The rectangular & circular The Original Magic Jetz Scrubz J22 Scrubber Sponge Round Jetz Scrubz sponges are the best kitchen / bathroom / general cleaning sponges I have ever found. They "seem" pricy at $5.00+ each, but the last longer than a dozen typical regular sponges. AND they can easily be washed and sanitized - even strong bleach does not seem to affect them. They can even be run through dishwasher too! The only damage either of ones I purchased has suffered in 6 months of use is a slight cut to soft side of one when I cut it when cleaning a very sharp knife a little. The rough scrubbing side I have used on all types of surfaces from granite to marble to wood to plastic thru simulated stone resin -- it cleans & scrubs well and NO scratches on anything.

These are tough little devils and well worth the initial investment. Again, one gets what one pays for and in this case bonus too as can be used on any surface I have found.

One drawback to them. They will not soak up as much water as most sponges and definitely not near as much as a natural sponge so not as good for picking up big spills, but that is due to material used and porosity of the sponge and also the reason it will stand so much re-use after cleaning out and disinfecting. Unlike a typical sponge this one can be easily cleaned & not fall apart after two or three cleanings and therefore not harbor bacteria if you use it properly.

You can save even more if you buy the 3 pack of rectangular ones The Original Magic Jetz Scrubz J22 Scrubber Sponge Round ; you will have one for kitchen, one for bathroom and a spare! For you people interested in something 'pretty' there is also the Jetz Scrubz Scrubber Sponge - Apple Shape but not being one for trendy cutsie things I haven't tried it.

MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND -- Spend a little more and save a lot.
