Loved it--better than the Moby,
By
This review is from: Original Sleepy Wrap Baby Carrier (Orange) (Baby Product)
It is the same idea of the Moby, but of a heavier material and stretchier. It makes me feel that the baby is more secure and tighter.I started using it right away and I actually think that, if anything, it is better for small newborns than for older babies. She sleeps, looks around and breastfeeds in there! The only thing is that in summer it gets pretty hot, but overall I love it.

Best baby carrier ever!,
This review is from: Original Sleepy Wrap Baby Carrier (Orange) (Baby Product)
I used this for my 3rd child. I wish I'd had this for the first two. As a newborn, they are too little for the Bjorn carrier. In this carrier, they rest against your body and are held snuggly in, so they don't have a chance of falling out (if you've put the wrap on correctly). And this one, they fall asleep immediately in the wrap, so no crying newborn. I never heard my daughter scream for the first few months of life! Plus, it was so useful to put the baby in this and take care of two older kids. The one thing I was hoping was that this carrier was thinner than the Moby wrap. But I bought the olive green color one and it still seemed pretty thick for summer, so we were a bit hot sometimes. After about 2 tries, I found this carrier easy to put on. It came with a booklet that showed step-by-step how to do it. The other day, I saw someone with the baby blue color and it was gorgeous! I'd pick that color next time. I've tried other type carriers - cheap Bjorn knockoffs, the Bjorn and a few slings. This one was by far the best. It distributes weight to your back and shoulders evenly, so I never had a hurting back or shoulders like the other carriers. I carried the baby in this until she was about 15 pounds and almost 9 months old (she was small). At that point, it was easier to move to something like the Bjorn just because she wanted to be facing "out" at that point. This is the one baby item that is a MUST HAVE!!!!

Another happy "Sleepy Wrap" mom!,

I absolutely loved this carrier; I used it constantly until my baby got too big for it. I also had a Bjorn and an Ergo, but this is the one I used most. The Bjorn had no hip support and hurt my back; the Ergo, although great for older kids, was just not as comfortable or snuggly as having my little one in the Sleepy Wrap. The security and comfort of this carrier is amazing; you can easily do whatever you have to do and not have to have your hand on the baby; the child is totally secure and you're hands free! The only thing that's less than ideal is the length of the fabric when you start to wrap it; it invariably touches the ground as you pull it together (so is a bit awkward to do in a public place). The wrap has to be that long to wrap correctly, of course, so you just get used to it. I also really liked the fact that the material is a bit stretchy, so you can wrap it tightly and it stretches to fit the baby securely (unlike similar wraps that are made of non-stretchy fabric). I got it in the purple color; totally beautiful! Very glad I purchased this.
