Editorial Reviews

Legendary pre YES prog rockers THE SYNChris Squire and Steve Nardelli first met in 1965 at a local battle of the bands. They went on to form 60's psychedelic rock outfit, THE SYN. After their split in 1967, Squire went on to form the band YES. This release is a double cd which charts the history of the band from 1965 to newly recorded material in 2004. It comes with a 16 page booklet charting the bands early history with an intro from Phil Collins.

I picked up the compilation of the Syn today and I really am hooked on it. If you always wanted to know what the band that was around before Yes came along sounds like, this is your chance now to own this collection. The CD booklet is impressive, telling you about how the Syn was so good in England from 1965 to 1967. The new material on the 2nd disc is also good too and its really good progressive rock at its best. I recommend this CD collection to Yes fans who love the early era of Yes and for people that love 60's psychedelic music. If you love this album, be sure to buy their first true studio album "Syndestructable", its great stuff.

Great reissue of some very hard to find Syn material, which is great to listen to for its own sake, and also very interesting to consider how influential this band was. Some terrific musicianship here from everyone, and some wonderful vocals by Steve Nardelli.... really enjoy this - "Syndestructible" is also very recommended.

Folks, just three songs by The Syn and that is 14 Hour Technicolor Dream, Grounded and Flowerman. Very awwwesome songs on category of Soul, Psych and Rock! Remember People, some of these groups have made singles rather than Albums and the songs and productions sound much better for some reason or another! For some reason Folks, a lot of People praise the group The Attack, but I just like Two songs from them. Maybe they should of been Movie Stars rather then having a group Folks, I mean that picture with them in that alley in the UK with that Girl on the sidewalk and dressed up like gang bangers! I don't know, well any way, the songs I like from The Attack are Any more than I do and Fell like flying, which sometimes I wish I can!!!!!!!!!!
