I've always been a little obsessed with oral hygiene. You kind of get that way after seeing your brothers get root canals, and your grandma lose all her teeth to decay - and then loose her false teeth to the family dog - who ate them (true story). Anyhow, never had a cavity, and hope never to either.

I've always tried brushing my tongue with a regular brush but it's caused a bit of a gag reflex - until I found the Tung brush and gel. The bristles are shorter and coarser, giving a scraping action. At first, it kind of feels like you're going to first base with a cat tongue but after you spit and rinse you'll be amazed how fresh and clean your mouth looks and feels.

Folks! I have been using Dr. Wieder's Tung Brush for more than three years with excellent results. I am a hygiene freak and if it impressed me, it sure will to amateurs. Don't think twice, get it and USE it. Look for that yellow goo crap in the sink rather on the tongue. If you never cleaned your tongue, the first time you use this, you may get a little bleeding but with regular use it will be ok.

After years of being ashamed of how my tongue looked and bad breath I found savior in this. After my first use I saw the pink color standing out on my tongue and bad breath was no longer an issue. Just tack it on after brushing you teeth. It is amazing!!!

They do not sell these in the local drug stores anymore, which is too bad, because it really works well if you have a tendancy to gag. I really like the Tung Brush, because it doesn't dry out my mouth like the scrapers. The dryness makes me gag. Instead, you just lightly brush your toungue from back to front, or side to side, to avoid the gag reflex. Some toothpastes will help loosen the coating and make it easier to brush your tongue. I brush with All White toothpaste, then swish it around my mouth before using the Tung Brush. The coating comes off easily. The Tung Gel doesn't do much for me, except make me gag more.

I was a little skeptical before purchasing this - especially when the picture simply shows something that looks like a toothbrush - but all fears were put to rest after one use. The head is wide, round and flat like a quarter and I'm able to brush the back of my tongue without major gagging. I didn't think it would be possible but it works great! The bristles are pretty strong and I found it was easy to over-do it in the beginning (brushing too long, too hard). Just follow the instructions (which tell you not to do that) and everything will be fine. I'm sold!

This tongue brush is the best, once I use this along with the tongue gel, I don't need a scraper. It's the best, clean your tongue very good.

Really good for cleaning the gunk off my tongue first thing in the morning.I've noticed if I scrub to the base of the tongue I can get the mucus that feels like something stuck there.It 's nice to have a pink tongue again.Great brush.

When used with the tung gel this works really well at cleaning the toungue and leaving your mouth with fresh breath. Buy extra gel ahead of time so you don't run out like I do. Using this will save your regular tooth brush from flattening out.

If you're serious about fighting bad breath then you have to get the TUNG brush. I am an oral hygiene snob and there is simply nothing more offensive than a close encounter with someone with halitosis. Don't be that person! And do not count on your traditional toothbrush to fight that yellow goo on the back of your tongue. Speaking from experience, the shorter, firmer bristles of the TUNG brush, plus the contoured shape, effectively remove that junk far better than a toothbrush (and without the gagging.) The gel is refreshing and lasts long into the day. Don't cut corners with your personal hygiene. Get the TUNG brush.

I work as a singer and model and have been involved with pageants for over 20 years. My mouth is the focus of much of my work. My mouth feels exceptionally clean and fresh since using the Tung brush (and Tung Gel), because it is exceptionally clean and fresh!! Start using it and see the difference...by the way you don't need to SCRUB your tongue, just brush it. It's not your teeth, it's your tongue. It is part of my daily routine -- can't imagine leaving the house without a clean tongue.
