I loved this...spent hours going over all the cards. Pulled Bonds, Rookie Ken Griffey Jr., and several other "I hope i pull that" cards. Excellent purchase that I just bought for the third time. Highly Recommend.

I actually do pay attention to the reviews here, but sometimes it can be hard to decide when you have lots of opposing opinions. So I figured I would insert facts for the most part and let you decide for yourself. I am a collector, and a big kid who loves cards.
If you are buying these packs for a newcomer or a kid who loves cards, they should do fine. If you are a collector, you will see the usual suspects such as 1988 Topps, the over sized Bowman "comeback" edition and Topps "Big" Baseball cards. Yes there are other brands too as advertised, however I did not receive 50 packs unless you want me to count an open package of Fleer Baseball stickers and an Allen and Ginter insert from 2007. I wondered too about the wax packs. Could they really be unopened, as one reviewer here did not seem to believe? You decide. The suspect packs I set aside to look at closer while sorting. When done, I find it very interesting that the suspect packs were from the same company, same year. They all have what looks like a stripe down the middle of the wax pack back. About the width of duct tape maybe. All Donruss except one Fleer. The year of the Ripken error, hmm...
Don't get me wrong, I love cards, but for me this may not be worth it, for a kid who loves cards, okay I guess. I am a big kid at heart who loves cards still. I will happily amend this review if I get some great cards, but again, that is all a matter of opinion. The best random cards I have purchased lately were from Fairfield. I got a box of 100 assorted baseball cards for 4.99 at Walgreen's and in addition to cards I really like, I pulled an autographed card. Pretty neat, and I guess their claim on the box of 1 in 4 is a hit was true. At least it was a big hit with me...

My 12 yr old decided to start a baseball card collection and I bought this to get him started. It was absolutely pure joy to see my son opening each and every package for the first time. They were in excellent condition for the most part, except that some of the baseball card packages that contained gum (do not let the kids eat it) the first card got somewhat damaged when we removed it because the gum has been there for so long that it took some of the card finish with it once it's removed. I suggest to used steam first just to lose the gum up prior to removal. This could also be helpful with the gold edition packages because they are really stuck together. Overall however, the cards are in perfect condition and you will find very good baseball players like Tom Seaver, Ricky Henderson, Roger Clemens, Robin Yount among others. It is a great gift for a starting baseball card collector at a great price.

Not a bad selection. The only noncard packs I got this time were pop-ups- & 45 of the 50 packs were wax or foil packs... & they threw in a '89 Bowman Nolan Ryan because I ordered 2 lots! Good job on responding to reviews calling for less sticker/gimmick packs & a nice touch with the bonus Nolan Ryan. Thanks*

A big variety of baseball cards but some of the packages were already opened and looked threw, you might even find 13 cards in a 10 card pack so dont expect to find anything great Its a good item for someone who s looking to start a collection

I have given these 4 stars for the fun value only.
As other reviewers have said do not be fooled by the title as the wax packets have all been opened before, they are not folded and sealed as you would expect from new. The foil packs do not appear to have been opened though.
That said, I have no doubt that my daughter will have loads of fun opening these, and for that alone they will be worth it.
