Even if it works well for the purpose it's made, it just wasn't designed for humans.
There's not way to make it stay in place. The unit has to be balanced over the ear. It just
sits there. Any movement of the head and it's gone. Has anybody really tested this?

If you have glasses...forget it. There's no way that glasses and the hearing unit can...

Having noticed a slight loss of hearing, I decided to forgo the usual route that can cost thousands and according to friends who have seen "hearing specialists" and have thrown thousands of dollars away to end up with unsatisfactory results, and the units that they received were of unsofisticated technology worth less than a hundred dollars. Hearing aids should Woodland Whisper(tm) VTCbe sold over the counter like reading glasses, remember when reading glasses could only be bought with a prescription, and cost hundreds! the eye professionals said people would go blind!. Well i bought two of these units and carefully adjusted them to my needs, they require gently handling but provided good results. The hearing proffesionals will have fits if these units take off and they stand to lose their huge commisions, my heart bleeds for them!. Great units for people that cant afford the " hearing proffesionals"

This product works better than a hearing aid i paid over $2200 dollars for. I have used it for a week and still on the first battery. Sound is clear with no static..

this was purchased for my mother, my husband gave her one several years ago to use and she loves it. The wire came off and I found a new one on this site. thanks so much, it works better for her than the expensive hearing aids.

5.0 out of 5 stars I can hear again., March 25, 2010

I bought one of these based on the reviews by folks with hearing aids. Figured what the heck at ~10 bucks counting shipping. Glad I did! It works great. Naturally, there is background noise amplified also, but unless you are in a noisy environment, it doesn't bother you. Kind of like a fan in the background. I can turn my TV waaay down now. I have problems such that for the last 14 years I can only use my left ear to talk on the phone. The right one sounds like Charlie Brown's school teacher...not understandable. Now it works.

The one bad thing, batteries don't last but a few hours, I gotta find some rechargeable batts for it.

While marketed for hunters, I found this to work quite well while watching television with my wife. I don't have to crank up the volume so it is too loud for her just so i can hear what is being said. The one drawback is that I no longer have an excuse when she reminds me to take out the trash!

This Woodland Whisper VTC by Nature Vision, Inc. failed to work, or it stoped working in October 20, 2010. I would like to return it, but I guess you get what you pay for, being it only worked for two months.

If you have glasses...forget it. There's no way that glasses and the hearing unit can co-exist.

It's very reasonably priced so perhaps it should be evaluated only in that context. Personally,
I don't have the patience to deal with it.

I was concerned that it was unlikely to be a quality product at the advertised price. My concerns were verified when I received them. One was too noisy to use and the other didn't work at all. A total waste of money. I was disappointed that this even available on Amazon.

I bought this and one other make hearing enhancement units. They were cheap and I wanted to try the "BTE" approach. The other inexpensive unit did not work at all but the Woodland unit does. I also bought an expensive "in the ear" unit to try...IT did not work! The Woodland Whisper works well on amplification, but does not discriminate on frequency adjustment, but what do you want for the money? I am getting used to the "BTE" (behind the ear) fit.
