__Problems in the Origins and Development of the English Language__ (__PODEL__) was first published in 1966, not in 1964, by Harcourt, Brace & World, Inc. Now in its soon-to-be sixth edition, this classic history of the English language text is often purchased with __Origins and Development of the English Language__ (__ODEL__) by linguistic professors all around the world. (__PODEL__ also has an exceptionally helpful Answer Key.) The one-star review refers solely to the buyer's experience with a second-hand bookseller, who accidentally sold him a forty-year-old copy of __PODEL__; it does not refer to __PODEL__ itself and is therefore potentially misleading.
