I searched High and Low for a Roadside emergency kit that provides more than just items in one particular category (i.e. most of them are geared towards first aid). I was looking for a Kit that has Emergency Flares, there's nothing worse than being on a dark highway with a flat or mechanical malfunction on the side of the road with trucks and other miscellaneous traffic zooming past at 70 mph +. This kit has a reflective triangle and three 20 minute flares.
It also has assorted odds and ends that will prove handy in an emergency. Besides this kit I also have a Master-Flow Tsunami Portable Air Compressor (Master Flow MF-1050 Tsunami High Volume Portable Air Compressor), an automotive type kidde fire extinguisher, as well as ASE30 Safe Escape Fire and Smoke Hoods (ASE30 Safe Escape Fire and Smoke Hoods w/Soft Cases - Qty 2) and Motorola T9680RSAME Motorola T9680RSAME 2-Way FRS/GMRS Radio Pair 2-Way FRS/GMRS Radios.
Am I ever going to use half this stuff? Probably not. But will I be damn happy I have these items if I do need to use them? I think you can figure that one out on your own.

I agree with reviewer Ron Gonzalez...I searched for the best emergency car kit and this one has the main items I wanted to prepare for a nighttime accident: 3) 20-minute emergency flares, a reflective triangle, a waterproof flashlight, a reflective vest, and two green light sticks. I especially like the emergency gear in case of a car breakdown in the winter: 4) hand warmers, 2) emergency thermal blankets, 2) candles with matches, and a rain poncho.
The bag is durable (now I'll always have a pair of jumper cables with me) and there is room for more products to be added. The first aid supplies are a great base-I'm going to add another emergency blanket, CPR mouthpiece, and clean strips of cloth which I already have.
A few weeks ago I came upon an accident which involved a motorcyclist (he died at the scene). I had nothing in my car to help...because of that, I ordered this kit and now feel like I could offer better assistance to someone in need.
