This is a great scope at a great price! I picked this scope up when it first came out, and have not had any issues with it or the service I received from Orion. This scope is large and collects an amazing amount of light. You will need a moon filter if you plan to look at the moon, or will hurt your eyes the image is so bright.

I have a few suggestions on some things you might to pick up with your scope. The laser collimator will help you keep the mirrors in their correct position. If you are going to move this thing a lot, (it is heavy) pick up the padded case for it, you will need it. I suggest picking up at least one 2" eyepiece, like the Deepview 35mm. This will give you a wide view of images like Orion's nebula. I also suggest the Orion Explorer II 7-21mm zoom eyepiece, this will take the place of several eyepieces, and stop you from having to stop viewing, change the eyepiece and try to find your subject again... now if they would only make a 2" version!

This one is on Orion, not Amazon. Thankfully, our friend knew how to ask Orion to make the order correct. It took three shipments from Orion to get it right. Amazon always stands behind their products, so they would have stepped in to deal with the problem if it was necessary. Once we received all the correct parts, the telescope went together easily onto its stand and is great to use. Amazon, with question, had the best price on this telescope. Thank you.
