Product Description
The 6" reflector makes a great telescope for beginning and intermediate astronomers. Take our SkyView Pro 6 EQ model (the shorter sister of the SkyView Pro 6LT EQ), for example. It has a relatively short 750mm focal length (f/5.0), which translates to a wide field of view. For some folks, sacrificing field of view for more magnifying power sounds like a good trade-off. Especially for anyone interested in observing lunar terrain, Jupiter's cloud bands, double stars, dense clusters, or any object that could use some enlarging in the eyepiece. The SkyView Pro 6LT EQ gets it done. Credit its 1200mm focal-length (f/8.0) parabolic mirror, which provides 60% greater magnification than you get from the shorter model using the same eyepieces. The SkyView Pro 6LT isn't better than its shorter sister, just different, its long-tube design more traditional. Let's just say we're bringing back a classic.
