This cable works when I plug it into the computer and the cable charges my Ipod Touch when it's plugged into the computer. This cable also charges my Ipod Touch when I plug this cable into the AC adapter. This cable is also twice as long as the Apple USB cable. This cable also looks like it's good quality because of it's thick rubber protecting the cable. All in all I would say this cable works just as well, if not better than Apple brand.

Item is what it says in the description, its better than the one shown in the picture. Works perfectly with my iPod Touch 3G 32gb, doesn't give the 'charging is not supported with this accessory' notice, works like the stock Apple wire. Very satisfied with the item.

Haven't seen better at any price. This cable is nicer than the one that came with my IPod touch. (After a year of regular use of the Apple cable, the protective coating near each connector broke, and the wires began to fray.) This product is a more substantial weight and length. Both connectors are sturdy, and I am perfectly happy with my purchase.

I decided to give this a try even though i was worried on why the price was so low. I had a amazon gift card, so it ended up being free so it was worth the gamble. The shipping was absolutely terrible, it took over a week to get here and when i finally opened it up, it said iPhone 4 usb charger cable which is not what it says on amazons website. I plugged it into my iPod and it works, but when i go to use it in my car, which is where i use it 90%of the time, it would not charge it but it recognizes that it is plugged in. It just says accessory not available. So this was worth the risk since it was free, but i will have to buy an actual iPod ouch cable.

These cables work fine for both charging and syncing on my third generation iPod Touch as well as my son's fourth generation iPod Touch and my Ipad 2.

I think it is important to pay attention to the source as there are a lot of choices and the quality varies from junk to identical to OEM with these cables.

I have a second generation iPod Touch and the charging cord for it all but fell completely apart (I wonder why Apple would make their cord so shoddy? It couldn't possibly be so you have to pay another $15 a pop every time the cord decides to seppuku, could it?). I was buying some other techie goodies on Amazon for a trip I'm taking in August, so I figured I'd see what options they had in iPod cords. I decided on this one because it seemed to have the best reviews, and now I know why. The cord doesn't feel cheap at all, in fact, it feels more well made than Apple's own model. It holds tightly on the end that plugs into your iPod so you don't have to hear those obnoxious "I'm plugged in!" "Now I'm not plugged in!" "Ok false alarm, I'm plugged in again!" sounds the damned thing makes if it comes just a tiny bit unplugged.

So, long story short, I love this cord, and when it eventually wears out (as even well made things do with time and use) I know where I'll be getting my replacement (read: NOT from Apple... >_>).

It charges, but it's hard to remove from the device (I'm using it on a 2nd Gen iPod Touch). It's got the release buttons on the sides, but it doesn't make for a smooth release. However, it DOES have the binding up around the plug ends (where my apple charger began to pull apart and show wires) so All in All, an excellent purchase for the price.

Worked sporadically the first day, and now does not work at all. Bought three, and all three are junk and a waste of time and money. The company that sells them, eTech is terrible also. They want you to fill out forms, and jump through hoops to get your money back. Stay away!!! Pay a little extra and get a decent cable!

Initially it worked. With the usb plugged into my girlfriends laptop, it was bumped and broke into 2 pieces. There is actually a seam where it split down. I'm not talking about some big thump, it was barely bumped into. It just split apart. The cord is pretty short anyway. if I was you I would get a different cable.

Good cable.
