great watch, April 27, 2008

This watch is every bit as gorgeous as it looks in the pictures. The movement is great, the titanium makes it light and the size of the watch is perfect. It's large enough to make a masculine impression but not large enough to take over your entire arm. It feels like a high-quality item and its depth rating indicates a serious watch. Jomashop's shipping was fast, and the product arrived with all the packing, manuals, etc. Note that for about $300 more you can get "Der Meistertaucher", which is the regulator version, and comes with two bands and other cool doo-dads. Also not that Jomashop is NOT an authorized Oris deal (none of the companies selling this watch for under $1500 are) and therefore they cannot stamp the warrantee card. This means the manufacturer's warantee is NOT USABLE. I called them and they confirmed this. Jomashop backs up the watch themselves for one year. They are a large dealer and I am hoping if I ever need their warantee they will come through.
The watch itself is a real winner, blows my Tissot Seastar out of the water, hands down.
