I ordered this glove to use with the grill. The glove does what it says it should my only problem is that it is not very flexible. I like the softer more supple Lekue Silicone Super Flexible Oven Mitt, Tangerine much better. The only problem with the LeKue is the thumb is not in the "pinching position" like it is with the Orka but since it is so soft and supple, flexing or picking things up is not an issue.

This is an adequate oven mitt, but there are so many better ones out there (I recommend Lekue). Still, see this one demonstrated here. Your hand feels like it's kind of trapped in a huge plastic device, and you lose lots of mobility. I purchased the translucent oven mitt, but this one is exactly the same except for the black color.

Barely recommended, just because it is certainly quite sturdy.

I had seen these before I purchased them, so I knew the quality was top notch. I selected the shorter kind because I don't forsee the need for longer mits. These are great because you can clean them. They aren't like the dirty germ factory mits you have.
The important difference that sets these apart from a few competitors is the thumb in the opposed position. I bought a different set for my mom but they were hard to use because the thumb was on the side and it wouldn't easily flex if your hands are small. These don't have that problem at all. Also, the inside of them are very grippy.
A neat feature that is pictured on the packaging is the ability for you to grab things out of boiling water with these. It still seems kinda risky to me.

This glove is a hazard to everything around you while in use! Short but big, clunky and stiff. You don't get burned but it creates other, equally as irritating, problems. I have a Lekue, which is better but too short and still too stiff. I highly recommend Silicone Zone gloves. Check em out.

My only other silicone "mitt" just covers the fingers and as a consequence, I rarely use it. This one makes me feel safe and it works. I can remove hot items from the oven without burning my hands and I don't feel that I will drop my hot pan on the ground, burning my legs and feet. It works even though my hands are very small, child's size.

I was looking for a mitt for barbeque. Several reviews I read liked this one with the exception that is somewhat inflexible. I decided to try it anyway. Because it is designed to carry very hot pans it is thicker and somewhat inflexible, but I like it anyway. I have to carry hot barbeque pans etc a distance from my BBQ to kitchen so having a mitt that can withstand the heat is a REAL PLUS! Also I like that this mitt is so easy to keep clean, just rinse under faucet and wipe. I would definitely recommend.

Got a set of these for Christmas last year and love them so much I bought my mother a set. Easy to clean, helps you grip hot things. A friend of mine uses his to arrange hot charcoal in his grill. These blow the ov-glove away

We gave the Orka oven mitt to our son - he already had one and he uses it a lot but he wanted two for lifting heavy items. He loves the mitt; it is highly heat resistant, long enough to protect arms and seems virtually indestructible.
