Beautiful Renaissance Music by a Master Composer,

This review is from: Orlande de Lassus Sacred Choral Music: Missa ad Imitationem Vinum Bonum (Audio CD)
Absolutely beautiful choral music with accompanyment by a brass ensemble with original instruments by a master composer. De Lassus' compositions are very rich in polyphony, not necessarily as antiphonal as say Gabrielli, but sweeter and richer than any musician of the era, save for Thomas Tallis.
This is a gem of a recording and very highly recommended for anyone interested in renaissance period or choral music. Take a listen also to other recordings of de Lassus. He was a prodigy and a genius, relatively obscure as compared to the popular composers that may come to mind and only a small percentage of his music has been recorded so far, but his popularity will soon grow again.

Best collection of sacred music,
This review is from: Orlande de Lassus Sacred Choral Music: Missa ad Imitationem Vinum Bonum (Audio CD)
A must for choral music lovers. Vocal chant transcends genres as it is the purest form of music making.
