I had so much fun reading this book. I kept my husband up one night because I was giggling so much while I was reading in bed.

The BEST strip ever!!!,
A Kid's Review

Of course, nothing beats the old favorite Calvin and Hobbes, but this is REALLY close. Fox Trot is hilarious. I can guarantee you'll be laughing out loud after reading this book. If you've ever heard anything bad about these strips, you have been lied to. This particular book is my favorite. I've read them all and I promise you will want to also after reading this book!

Bill Amend is a people-watcher. You can tell this by how his FoxTrot characters mimic real life situations and issues. Unfortunately, he seems to be spending too much time spying on me! At least that is my perception when I see the goings-on of the Fox family!
Orlando Bloom Has Ruined Everything : A FoxTrot Collection, is a funny and timely addition to this long-running cartoon series. As the title suggests, it covers a period of time that the country was wild over Lord of the Rings. But don't dispair... there are still plenty of strips on Thanksgiving dinner, football in the snow, Quincy, dating, snow people, math, allowances, chess, electronic games, tofu, and homework. And if you know what I am talking about, then this is not your first FoxTrot book! I only wish there was a bit more content in these books! You go through them too quickly! Four stars instead of 5 for this reason.

An college professor and I loved the Foxtrot strips dealing with Paige, Jason and "Lord of the Rings," and so I bought this book almost entirely for those few cells.
The entire book, though not one of Amend's longest, is still a highly enjoyable read. To anyone who enjoys Foxtrot (or comics like Foxtrot- witty word play, social commentary without lecture) this book would make an excellent addition. The strips dealing with Paige's obsession with Orlando Bloom, and Jason's horror at the possibility of having to share his Tolkein passion with his sister, is humor at its best (especially as an appreciative fan of both Tolkein and Orlando Bloom). I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Foxtrot comics.

We loved it! Our favorite comic and our favorite movie all combined in one book. Ths Fox family will be missed now that Bill Amend has retired but this book keeps us laughing.

I LOVE THIS STRIP,

Fox Trot and Bill amend are just a perfect combination.
Once again, we find the whole Fox Trot gang together in this series of comic strips. Most of the strips are recent and feature hilarious moments with the gang and Lord of the Ring and specifically Orlando Bloom. Of course, this is only part of the strip. My favorites remain the ones where the whole family interact and I love Jason. The only negative I have is that this book is extremely short. I would love the publishers to focus more on issuing a Treasury. This book cost $12.95 (cdn) and it took me approx 30 minutes to read. Of course, I can re-read them again, but I would prefer a larger book. This remains one of the best comic strips out there and Bill Amend should be commended.

I'm a long-time fan of Fox Trot collections. Nothing so consistently hits home and tickles my funny bone. However, having said this - the last few books never quite measured up to the first two. This one does.
I've read and re-read it. I am still smiling.

IT'S MY FAVORITE STRIP,
This review is from: Orlando Bloom Has Ruined Everything: A FoxTrot Collection (Foxtrot Collections) (Paperback)
I'm a recent convert to Fox Trot so collections like these really come in handy. I've only been a Fox Trot fan for about a year or so but it's quickly become my favorite comic strip and the only one I make sure I read every day. Bill Amend has a perfect style tailor made for animation and I'd love to see a Fox Trot show or special. Jason, of course is my favorite but the entire cast is just a riot. My favorite part is the "ink Outtage" storyline following the blackout in 2003. The description says East Coast power blackout but I'm in Michigan we had it too...thanks a lot, Ohio! The Lord of the Rings strips are great as well. Like the other reviewer said though, at 128 pages it is pretty short although $8.95 is not a bad price. I'd still rather see maybe double the pages for $15 or so. Great Strip!

Paige considers the whole "ring" part in Lord of the Rings to be "filler" around the dreamy Orlando Bloom. Frustrated brother Jason just about has his whole joy of Lord of the Rings robbed by the simple knowledge that Paige is also now interested in it, albeit for other reasons.
This would be enjoyable for anyone who already likes Foxtrot. The Lord of the Rings references are fairly limited, so don't buy it if you're looking for a bookload of LOTR. Other topics in the book: Don Iguan (played by the ever popular Quincy), Leaking Windows (watch out for Jason, Mr. Gates), Finding Hemo (Jason's lame attempt to rip off Pixar), and more. Try it ~ you won't be sorry! .

As always, I enjoyed the content of this Foxtrot collection. I am very disappointed though, that it is a third the size of past Foxtrot collections. It has almost the same number of pages, but fewer comic strips per page. They've shrunk it. Instead of the usual 3 strips per page, its been made smaller and has only 2 strips per page. All for the price that more got you. I guess it is really all about the mighty dollar. :(
