4.0 out of 5 stars New Orleans Homecoming Live from the Saenger Theatre, June 4, 2011
The opening number in the "New Orleans Homecoming" featured Jake Hess and Terry Blackwood with the Homecoming Friends singing "When the Saints Go Marching In" with the band playing a distinct New Orleans sound between each of the verses.

This strong start continued right through the concert. In addition to the musical numbers, Mark Lowry, Carl Hurley, and Ray Lewis added humor and comedy. The Lewis family added a unique sound in their arrangement of "His Amazing Grace" and "Honey in the Rock." Wintley Phipps gave a touching narrative reading titled "Go Down to Death."

My favorites include:

"On the Authority" featuring the Gaither Vocal Band

"Yes I AM" with the Hoppers

"He'll Deliver Me" featuring Janet Paschal

"Teach Me Lord" with Reggie and Ladye Love Smith and Wesley Prichard

"Praise the Lord" featuring Russ Taft

"Upon this Rock" as sung by Allison Durham Speer

Other numbers include:

"Good Bye Blues" featuring Woody Wright with Anthony Burger on the Accordion

"Going Away Party" featuring the Easters

"He Understands My Tears" sung by the Isaacs

"I Love You Lord" featuring the Homecoming Singers with Larry Ford

"Precious Lord Take My Hand" with Jeff Easter playing harmonica accompanying Sherman Andrus

"Jesus Loves Me" sung by Jackie Harling

"There is a Fountain" sung by Vestal Goodman

"Through the Fire" featuring the Crabb Family

"Go Rest High on the Mountain" featuring Charlotte Richey, Kim Hopper, and Ladye Love Smith

All in all a wonderful evening of entertainment, inspiration, and worship.

The odds of many of the Gaither homecomings, is overlooked for in total the Videos contain excellant singers and good gospel listening to music.
