An Ignored Classic,

Due to Jansch's limited exposure in 1991, the somewhat unexciting album cover, and other reasons for which I do not know, but sure are there, this is a superb album that has been overlooked. Jansch fans will most likely find a few Jansch favorites on this album, it being full of beautiful songs.
This has become one of my favorite Jansch albums. It is full of great guitar work, but also of great bass, keyboards (though there aren't many), drumming, and fiddle. My two favorite songs are his instrumental cover of "The Rocky Road to Dublin" and the re-recording of "The January Man" which I feel is infinitely better than the one featured on the Moonshine album. From first song to last, this album is consistent with soft creativity.

King of Acoustic Folk,

This is my favorite Jansch recording. Every single song is a joy to listen to. Jansch is the best guitarist in his field. I am constantly returning to his work for the poetry, and creative melodies. If you like Bert at all, why don't you have this disk? Get it!!!!!!!!
