Lovely resource,

It is a good collection of flourishes and swashes, some I had never considered. I was disappointed in the swash celtic animals though. I thought they could have been so much better. But it is a good resource book. For the price I would buy it again.

I am a calligrapher, but have not done much with ornamental pen designs. I found this book, which is now out of print, an inspirational source of designs. The book includes 329 designs, which include cupids, flora, fauna, frames, faces, and other themes. Some of them are simple enough that I can replicate without much trouble, but some others are intricate designs that will take me a while to master. They can all be used as springboards to the creation of original designs.
