This CD has been heralded as a CD for the new millenium. It's hard not to classify these guys as nu-metal, but with any type of music, if its done right then it sounds good.DWR utilizes a double dragon dual mc attack much like linkin park and smacks much of rap influence, which seems to be a strong trend nowadays. However, much like their miami florida bretheren, nonpoint, they have a strong talent for making great songs that grow on you. They often have the low gutteral guitar that korn perfected but tend to use it to produce comaprably more up-beat rythems. I will admit at first listen I wasn't highly impressed with the work. However after listening to it on a couple long drives it is now part of my regular rotation. I'd reccomend this to anyone who likes nonpoint, linkin park, korn, adema etc. Tracks of note are : Feel So Stupid (1), Track 5 and Realize (8). The only negative about this album I feel is the track where they have shaggy as a guest performer. While it sounds alot better than expected, it seems to be a cry for the band to get noticed--it's not like Shaggy posesses any extrordonary talent other than voice and name recognition. Essentilly, having shaggy seemed to be for namesake and soundsake, nto for art sake. They should have had maynard from tool.

ok, so i got this cd years ago when it came out, and i loved it as soon as i listened to it! lyrically they are fantastic, and the guitars/drums/bass, all of it is wonderful. They do their own thing (which was a BEFORE linkin park thing) of having a singer and a raspy sounding rapper/screamer... their style is their own, and it all comes together quite nicely. I know that its hard to find a cd that i can listen to over and over, and out of about 1,500 CDs that i have, there are only about 20 of those... and this is one of them! I cant really explain them, but they are a magnificent band, and i wish they were still around...FAVORITE SONGS: Into the Dark - lyrics are great, the bass is freakishly cool sounding, the mixing of the rapguy and the singer is awesome... the breakdown w/ screaming for the chorus is cool. Sometimes it Happens like this - DEFINETLY my FAVORITE SONG OFF OF THIS CD!!! just a mellow beat with soft echoing guitars in the background and the rapper guy is going at it! then the guitars cut in harder, slowly... and the singer chimes in then it just hits hard and rocks with screaming and total bada$$ness! Live for the Moment - Another great song... really "Rage against the machine" guitars! raspy rapping, good rage guitars, awesome song all around.

I saw these guy's on Ozzfest a few years back and was mezmorized by their show and the sound of the songs. Their show was so full of energy that people started leaving the main stage area to go to the side stage to watch them. The best songs are #1, #3, #5 (rediculously good) #6 & #11.With the bland, stagnant sound coming from most radio rock, these guys are excellent.
