5.0 out of 5 stars One of the genre's most underappreciated writers, May 8, 2006
It's a shame this book hasn't been reviewed yet on Amazon. It makes me wonder if Boyett hasn't received more attention precisely because his talent is so wide ranging that it's hard to put him in any one category. The same guy who wrote from Hucklebery Finn's point of view as an old man fighting alongside Tom Sawyer in the Mexican Revolution also wrote about the accidental nuclear bombing of Oz, Salvador Dali giving Walt Disney a bottle of distilled death to use in his art, and tons more. It hasn't helped that he hasn't published in any one place enough to get a profile. But for five bucks you can spend a couple of evenings with an inventive mind who is also in love with words. You won't regret it. And if any print publishers are reading this, why haven't you published this book? Shame on you.
