I now only wear orthaheel shoes and this is a great pair to add to my collection.
They were actually my shoes that accompanied the dress I wore to a wedding and they looked just great.
I know some people say they hurt their feet, but I haven't experienced any pain at all wearing them on and off all day.

I ordered these after some ongoing foot problems. My Doctor told me no more walking around barefoot at home - but I really don't like wearing outside shoes around the house. I haven't tried orthotic house slippers before so I can't compare these to other brands but I find them to be very comfortable. They are not super squishy so much as they are very supportive. They feel more like you are wearing a real shoe than what I think of as a house shoe. They also look more like a cute real shoe as well which is a nice alternative to the classic orthopedic (house)shoe look (I do not got the velcro).

I usually wear a US9.5 and ordered a US9 based on the Orthaheel website which tells you to order down a size for half-sizes. They're a good fit barefoot for me.

A few things to be aware of - these are pretty warm on my feet. I tend to run cold anyway so it does not bother me, but if you are in a hotter climate or run warmer its something to consider. They also have fairly high arches, which again - I have fairly high arches so its comfortable for me but I image it would not be as good for someone more flatfooted.

Overall I really like these as an attractive house-slipper alternative. If they still feel as good in a few months I might have to get a pair in purple as well.

These are fantastic shoes. All of my other shoes have slowly been donated. This particular shoe doesn't require a sock. I don't think it's a real slipper slipper since the sole is firm. I have been wearing it around the house without socks and it's perfect for the fall weather in Wisconsin. I bet I order another pair soon. Arch is terrific.

I've had plantar fasciitis since 2010. It was relieved for a while when I went to weeks of physical therapy and wore an insole insert provided by the rehab facility. After pain free for about one year, it came back with a vengeance. I didn't want to go back to rehab again, so I thought I'd look for shoes. During the day in my sneakers, the pain is minimal. Walking around home barefoot is excruciating. I purchased these to use specifically indoors.

My first reaction when placing them on my feet and standing up, was that it felt like a hard ball pressing into my arch. It was an uncomfortable sensation, but when I walked, I didn't have any heel pain. The more I use them, the less the oddity of the hard ball feeling I have in my arch. It really did alleviate the pain. I have ordered the inserts for my shoes, by they haven't arrived yet.

As far as size, I wear an 8-1/2. I ordered the 8 and I have plenty of room in width and length. My toes do not push on the tips, but have room to wiggle. Only negative comment is that my feet tend to sweat without socks, so I may put on a pair of thin stockings.

For me, it was worth the investment. Walking without pain makes life a bit easier, if you don't mind walking on a hard ball in your arch.

I have a long narrow foot with high arches. Finding shoes that fit well is difficult. I needed slippers with support because all the floors in my house are hard. After research I decided on Orthaheel. I picked the Alta Mary Jane style because the entire circumference of your foot is enclosed, unlike an open back slipper.
My foot is a 9 1/2 narrow so I ordered the 9 as suggested by Orthaheel. They were too big & very wide. They hurt when I wore them & I just chalked it up as needing to get used to them slowly as recommended by Orthaheel but after they continued to hurt I figured maybe the pain was because the arch support wasn't in the right place due to the shoe shifting around so I ordered a pair in a size 8 as well.
Turns out I was right. The pain immediately went away with the smaller pair. I didn't even have to break them in. The heel is a tad wide but not enough to bother me. It's really minimal & probably not even worth mentioning.
The length is a different story. I'm not a size 8. I don't have any shoes that are a size 8 & the last time I was able to fit into 8's was 6th grade (ie: a long time ago).
I had enough room for my toes to fit comfortably with the exception of my big toes which touch the front of the shoe. They didn't touch enough to crunch them or give me pain but they did have very slight pressure in one spot at the very top of my big toes when I walk.
Being that Orthaheel doesn't have 1/2 sizes (I really wish they did) & I really needed slippers with support that account for my arches to reduce back, knee & foot pain I put pressure on the balls of my foot & leaned into the slippers to break them in & see if it would help.

I wear these constantly when I am at home. they are very comfortable. The indoor/outdoor sole is great, no changing of shoes needed when running to the garage or mailbox. I am a size 8 but orthaheel tends to run small. I ordered a 7, and after a couple weeks of breaking in time they fit great. When I don't wear these, I can tell by the end of the day as my back begins to hurt. I have recommended orthaheel before and these slippers won't disappoint.

The only warning is that they are fleece lined, which is cozy, but can get very hot.
