Good book for Orthopedic PT's,
By A Customer
This review is from: Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Secrets, 1e (Paperback)
This is a comprehensive book on orthopedic physical therapy topics written in a unique "question and answer" format. What's great about this book is that the information presented is recent and is based on evidence-based practise and current research. This book will serve a great reference for the novice and experienced clinician

Effective index,
This review is from: Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Secrets, 1e (Paperback)
Excellent review for ortho..You can essentially use this as an effective index to direct you to weak areas that demand research and further exploration. Really a must have. Very considerate, efficient, not pompous, and direct.

Awesome OCS review,
This review is from: Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Secrets, 2e (Paperback)
I utilized this book to prepare for the physical therapy OCS exam and what a source. It was a great text to guide your thinking and elaborates on various areas (ie Pharmocology, Ragiology, wound healing...). I could not have studied without it.

I bought this book as a review for the orthopedic specialty exam in physical therapy and have been thoroughly impressed! The book is evidence-based and is written in an easy to read question and answer format. I highly recommend this book for any orthopedic physical therapist, chiropractor or MD/DO. I believe this book will soon become your default resource for orthopedic rehabilitation.

This book is an excellent resource to have in the ortho clinic, especially as a new clinician. It is comprehensive in its coverage of orthopedic conditions and can provide quick information when you need it! It is easy to use, not overwhleming in the amount of information it provides and everything is presented along with resources if you want further information.

Nice review for the OCS exam. It is packed with all kinds of information that just happens to pop up on the exam. Good Luck studying....I suggested practice reading from a computer screen. I love books and reading from paper, after an hour or so during the exam, reading from the computer screen became a challange for me. I could NEVER do a desk job!

OCS Prep Book,
By John Twain "B" (Glen Allen, VA, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Secrets, 2e (Paperback)
This book is now updated to give you some very good pointers to help prep for the OCS course and give you knowledge about items you wouldn't have thought of prior to getting ready to take the test. If your looking for a specific book to give you an update on research based ideas and current trends related to treatments it's ideal but I wouldn't buy it if you want some type of general Ortho PT book to look up things when you need it.

I ordered this book to pass the PTA Exam & did not find it neccessary. It goes far beyond what we need to know & gives little in terms of treatment for rehabilitation. I quickly sold it off.

good for overall review, not so good for looking up specific info,

I bought this book in preparation for my OCS exam. It is a good overall review book, but some of the "answers" don't contain the background info necessary to really understand the author's meaning. It would be difficult to look up specific information if I had a single question.
