The pillow is large and very absorbing. The foam makes a crunch-squish sound when it is new which made the dog very nervous at first. After time and after encouragement by laying on it myself, the dog now will sleep on it all night.

The pillow also holds body heat as it molds, so in the summer, furry dogs may not like that. Adding an extra large sheet allowed the dog to nest a bit more with cooler air pockets but still get the support her arthritis needs.

My American Bulldog tore her ACL and that led to degeneration in her hips. She could barely get up once she had been laying down for a while. This bed has helped her tremendously in that regard. The improvement is drastic. She's 65lbs and there is plenty of room for her 25lbs buddy.
