I almost didn't buy this bed because of the reviews saying it's "narrow". I don't know what they're talking about! This bed is perfectly proportioned. My dog is 75 lbs and laying down he measures about 48" long by 30". This bed is PLENTY big for him and it looks awesome. Poor guy has had a flattened polyfill bed for too long and I can now get rid of it! I was surprised at how tightly this bed was packed but it fluffed right up and when I lay on it and put my elbows on it, they don't sink to the floor. The cover is really heavy duty too. I don't know how it will hold up in future - just got it today - but initially, I'm thrilled. And my dog is too!
UPDATE: Edited to add that my husband and I examined the fill. It seems to be regular old foam pieces, not memory foam. We have a memory foam mattress and the difference is obvious. I took down a star because I feel this isn't an accurate description.

I bought this bed for my 100lb Lab. All I can say is as soon as I took it out of the carton he was laying on it. It is made of a heavier material and is stuffed thicker than most. I have hardwood floors and my dog seems to love not having to lay on the floors anymore.

I would not call this a LARGE bed for a dog...medium fits much better! My dog is the size of a boarder collie, and she barely fits on it.

This pillow is advertised as extra large when in reality it is way too small for a large dog. I have a medium sized pointer and the size of this pillow is rather questionable.

Delivery time was good, arrived when promised. It's a big plush bed, my Catalula leopard loves it. However the zipper tab broke-off so now it's very difficult to wash the cover separately without really working at it, which I like to do weekly, I like the liner feature. If your dog isn't large, a king size foam pillow with a water-proof pillow liner cover with a pillow case would do the same for a lot less money.

It arrived promptly, unfolded and positioned easily, the cover is easy to clean, and it's my pet's favorite place to sleep- fits parially under my desk, which allows her to be close at hand yet out of the way (I am partially disabled). A superior choice.

at first my lab; like all black labs was very leery of his new bed; but after a few good nights sleep this is now his favorite.

Quality and "fluffiness" of this product is great, but I SOOOOO should have thought out the dimensions before I purchased. My dog is over 100lbs and I have the feeling it will be comical to watch him attempt to lay on it. I am trying the instructions included which say to transfer from brown bag to denim bag and let settle for 48hrs. I am hoping that will help, but it was messy for one and secondly - I don't think it will make much difference. Quality of materials - great! Size...not so much.

When you wash the cover and put it back on the mattress, it gets really lumpy, but evens out eventually. Beyond that it's pretty good.

My rescue Basset has horrible hip dysplasia and arthritic knees. She loves this bed and is not as stiff and sore when she gets up in the morning. I noticed this difference right away. It was worth every penny and much better than all of the other beds I have ever tried. She weighs 55 pounds and it's plenty big for her. I put her favorite old blanket on top of it and she went right to it. Highly recommend it. It doesn't lose it's shape, easy to fluff up and keep clean. It was recommended by a friend who has one for her elderly dog and she was 100% right.
