I've been running old gospel records to CD for some time now. Wore out the turntable's stock stylus, then went through two Audio Technica ones (the ATP-2XN ones), then a Stanton, then this. I think this Ortofon is the best I've had yet. Tracks even better than the Stanton, and clarity is just a shade better than the Audio Technicas.
What I really, really, REALLY like though, is you don't have to spend all that time turning tiny screws in the headshell. There is no headshell. This thing turned a fifteen minute tedious replacement into about twelve seconds. And no, I'm not an Ortofon employee paid to write a good review. :P I just thought I'd drop a word in for them. If I find a different cartridge that does better, I'll edit this to recommend the better one.

I've owned a number of stylus / cartridges, and have admired the ortofon's look / reputation for years. I decided to try the Pro S earlier this year, and have found it to be an excellent cartridge. High quality construction, easy to use, and excellent sound. 5 Stars.

I love this product! I will definitely be a Ortofon supporter from now on. These cartridges make life for record lovers way easier by eliminating the time and hand-steadiness needed to replace traditional cartridges with the tiny hardware usually provided. Just snap this baby on and let'er rip!
