The thing is; most probes are nothing more than aluminum rods with a cord down the middle, a pointy end and a a slot on the other end to lock the cord so it stays together. This marvel of technology should be somewhere around a dollar. The market for these items, being so small, pushes the price a tad higher than it ought to be.

To me, the only real question is whether 200cm is long enough (almost 8 feet). If a compact probe is your thing, paying 2~3 times as much for the same length will not buy you anything extra, beyond staying brand name and/or color-coordinated.
