useful book to keep with you
Orvis have a reputation for fine products, and this small book is definitely one. I am no gunsmith, but do like to be able to do a quick fix on a gun in the field. Morrow manages to get across enough useful knowledge to make me feel comfortable with simple tasks, and reinforces the need to use a gunsmith for more difficult tasks.

Great book, if you already know everything there is to know
This book is probably worthwhile, if you already understand everything there is to know about shotguns. As a relatively novice shooter, I found several sections incomprehensible and several recommendations ridiculous (building my own "gun room" or my own "guns only workbench" are just going to have to wait until I win the lottery). The illustrations...

This book is probably worthwhile, if you already understand everything there is to know about shotguns. As a relatively novice shooter, I found several sections incomprehensible and several recommendations ridiculous (building my own "gun room" or my own "guns only workbench" are just going to have to wait until I win the lottery). The illustrations are small, there are no schematics of the procedures recommended, and the writing is disorganized. There has got to be something better out there.
