You have to read this book, May 30, 2004

This is a rare book. I can't stopping reading it, and I'm not a special fan of science fiction, but this masterpiece is beyond all classification. Follow my advise and read it.

1984 for the next generation, December 9, 2004
This review is from: Oryx Y Crake / Oryx and Crake (Spanish Edition) (Paperback)
Without a doubt, one of the best books I've read all year.
This would be an especially great read, for anyone with even a little bit of a science background. While set in the future, much of the genetic engineering concepts she references already exist at an early stage today. It's a very provocative glimpse into the future and an impressive piece of literature that will stand the test of time.
As you read the first few chapters, you may be thinking "what the heck is going on?". Have faith in this book. By chapter 4 you will be so sucked into the plot, and you'll start looking for excuses to stay home from work so that you can finish reading the book.
Update: If possible, avoid reading a plot synopsis for this book. Half of the fun of this book, is not knowing how the story will unfold.
I cannot recommend this book enough. A month after reading this book, I am still talking about it. How many books can you say that about? Enjoy.
