Challenging modern Brazilian pop, September 29, 2008

This is an interesting offshoot of the "+2" Brazilian pop collective, with drummer Domenico Lancellotti, as well vocalist Thalma De Freitas and Kassin, as well as some electronica-oriented friends. About the first half of the album is basically a modern update of classic bossa nova ballads, while the rest of the album drifts into increasingly somber, challenging dark ambient music.
