Oscar didn't like boxing so he didn't like to train, he cried so he didn't train. When he grew up he started to like boxing. When he was sparting his trainer told him that he was a great fighter. 3.0 out of 5 stars Expected more from a champ
As a martial artist I'm always searching for new ideas and techniques.I'm a big fan of Oscar and thought this tape would take us inside his training methods but, this tape is really geared toward beginners. There is nothing really new here and the only thing that might be strenous is the extended jump rope sections. The tape is poorly done, you would think they would do...

As a martial artist I'm always searching for new ideas and techniques.I'm a big fan of Oscar and thought this tape would take us inside his training methods but, this tape is really geared toward beginners. There is nothing really new here and the only thing that might be strenous is the extended jump rope sections. The tape is poorly done, you would think they would do a walk through before filming.Oscar and the lady are sometimes out of sequence. Also they talk over each other at times. An ok tape for someone starting a workout program but,a boxer, martial artist, athlete or fitness freak will be dissapointed. Oscar has alot to offer, hopefully in the future he will.

This review is from: Oscar De La Hoya's Championship Boxing Workout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The video shows you a typical boxing aerbic workout. The pro is that the video does make you work and it keeps you interested if your an Oscar fan. The con is that it is very poor quality. Oscar and the instructor are not coordinated with each other at times. At times it felt like a five year old put this video together. If your a fan this video is for you, if not keep searching...

This review is from: Oscar De La Hoya's Championship Boxing Workout [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The book is about this kid that his name is Oscar and his dad was a pro boxer. That kid didn't like boxing. His dad pushed him so he could be a boxer. Oscar didn't like boxing so he didn't like to train, he cried so he didn't train. When he grew up he started to like boxing. When he was sparting his trainer told him that he was a great fighter. When he was 15 he went to the U.S.A Olympics he won golden medal. He started boxing in Los Angeles. That's were his carrier started. The biggest dream for his dad is to make Oscar de la Hoya a champion. He spent more of his time training Oscar. He pushed Oscar a lot the one day his dad was mad and made him cry because he didn't let him rest. He made Oscar cried also because he was scare to spart.
